All the way from Groningen, this will be their first ever show in Belgium! Long overdue I would say, as Frontsector has build a fierce live-reputation which has left many a viewer wiped out in awe. Expect a mixture of old-school punk with garage rock and hardcore, a truly original sound with undeniable power. Seriously, you don’t want to miss this.

Woensdag 13 mei, de avond voor Hemelvaart, wordt Het Podium overgenomen door drie bands die niks geven om subtiliteit. Puffer uit Montreal speelt rock'n'roll zoals het in Quebec klinkt: altijd sneller, harder en rauwer, en toch catchy. Frontsector uit Groningen gooit daar hardcore en garagepunk tegenaan alsof dat de normaalste zaak van de wereld is, terwijl Violent Beef het afmaakt met fuzzy high-energy rock'n'roll. Frontsector uit Groningen is vernoemd naar een verzetskrant uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Old school hardcore meets garagepunk, gespeeld zoals punk ooit bedoeld is. Puffer is niet de zoveelste punkband die je terug probeert te trekken naar 1977. Dit is rock'n'roll zoals het in Quebec klinkt: altijd harder, luider, rauwer dan je gewend bent. Hard maar melodieus, met die branie van Motörhead en de streetpunk-drive die je ook bij Inepsy of Annihilation Time terughoort. Na een serie EP's brachten ze in 2025 hun eerste full-length Street Hassle uit via Static Shock Records. Hun liveshows zijn legendarisch: bodies flying, crowd going wild, dit wordt dikke mayhem. @doyoupuff laat samen met @frontsector en @violent.beef op woensdag 13 mei zien hoe het moet.

Een unieke avond in VERA waar je van harte welkom bent in onze Grote Zaal, maar die je ook vanuit je luie stoel helemaal meemaakt. Om te vieren dat er zoveel moois in popstad Groningen gebeurt. Omdat het kan dus.
