Hello Darkness, dé Rotterdamse winkel op de Nieuwe Binnenweg voor DIY- en gothic cultuur, alternativiteit en queerness brengt voor de eerste editie van Hello Darkness Presents een avond vol duistere muziek, performance en underground cultuur naar de Doelen.

De Rotterdamse band maakte in korte tijd indruk met hun mix van black metal, screamo, post-hardcore en sludge, en ontroerde onlangs nog Roadburn met “I Hope This Hurts”.

Alles wat buiten de norm valt, krijgt binnen Hello Darkness een plek en precies dat vieren we deze avond.

These outfits, made by the incredible @dragadina that Noâh and Kimothy wore for "𝓘 𝓗𝓸𝓹𝓮 𝓣𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓗𝓾𝓻𝓽𝓼" were begging for a whimsical afternoon photo-session in the forest.
Thank you @chermetery for helping us frolic.
Noâh's top came from @hellodarknessstore - modified and transformed by @dragadina as well as the body/bra that she used on kimothy's blouse to make into shoulderpads 🥹.

Kimothy's hair is from @megorgeous_nl on Kruiskade, Rotterdam, designed by themselves as well. Their classic crochet Dutch headpiece was originally worn by women in mourning.

Hello sweet people of the internet, here's a little update from us.
"I Hope This Hurts" was a healing experience and a labor of love. We've recorded the set, both audio and video, and the video team is working hard to edit it all. We're doing our best to release some of this as soon as we can.
We're also working on our ✨️𝓕𝓲𝓻𝓼𝓽 𝓯𝓾𝓵𝓵-𝓵𝓮𝓷𝓰𝓽𝓱 𝓻𝓮𝓬𝓸𝓻𝓭 ✨️; that will feature some of the songs from the commissioned set. It, however, will also be other music we've been writing. We are beyond excited to release this by the end of 2026.
For now, enjoy these behind the scenes photo's that our friend @_mortus took in preparation for the big set @roadburnfest . Thank you for your sweet messages and patience, and we'd love to see you at one of our shows soon ❤️

We took about 100 zines with us to Roadburn, that Kimothy made, and we folded and cut the day before. They were gone within minutes.
So we've uploaded the files of the zine to our linktree. You can download them for free and print it on A3 paper, and fold it.
The zine is a research-document with books, podcasts and video-essays that Kim read, listened to or watched, preparing for "ℑ ℌ𝔬𝔭𝔢 𝔗𝔥𝔦𝔰 ℌ𝔲𝔯𝔱𝔰".

When we commissioned Kim Hoorweg to write and perform a new piece of music for Roadburn 2026 we knew we were in for something special. But in the end, what Kim did with their band Teardrinker was beyond our expectations - a truly special performance that has left a lasting impression on us.

We could not be more honored to announce the beginning or our collaboration with Rotterdam-based screamo/post-hardcore/sludge outfit @tear.drinker . Coming off a powerful live performance at @roadburnfest , we immediately heard incredible feedback from US friends who were moved by the experience. As they work on new material, we are thrilled to offer album Killing the Flowers Will Not Delay Spring on cassette for North American fans (EU: please order directly from the band at teardrinkerband.bandcamp.com).
