At Fromental, we see beauty as fundamental to a good life. It’s essential for both health and happiness, and we want to help you fling your arms wide and welcome it generously into your every day. We’ve been hand-painting, embroidering, and printing wallcoverings since 2005. As the first to hand-embroider our silk wallcoverings, we’re proud to keep pushing the boundaries of design, blending traditional craftsmanship with fresh ideas and new technologies. Everything we make is designed to transform—to make rooms feel immersive, expressive, and deeply personal. That’s what drives us: thoughtful design, rooted in craft, made to elevate even the more exceptional of interiors.

Ogata is a lyrical celebration of nature, inspired by Japanese artist Tawaraya Sotatsu. Flowing abstract leaves and delicate peonies come together in a design that feels both energetic and gracious. Pictured here in rust - a deep burnt-orange, warm and moody with strong rosy undertones. Ogata is available in an array of colourways. 📸: @chriseverard

Dynasty Peonies is a performance. Oversized blooms, rich colour and unapologetic glamour come together in a design inspired by the classical Chinese language of the peony and the drama of 1980s couture. A statement in maximalism, presented in two distinctive colourways: Alexis and Krystle.

Thirty years in the making. Introducing Dynasty Peonies - a new wallcovering from Fromental that reimagines the bold beauty our founder, Tim Butcher, first encountered in China in the 1990s. Rich in scale, colour and movement, this collection embraces the artistry that once felt ahead of its time. “It’s taken me thirty years to resolve what I encountered in China in the 1990s - flowers painted too large, greens a little too turquoise, design that felt unruly. They weren’t wrong. We just weren’t ready. Dynasty Peonies is the return to that.” - Tim Butcher

Introducing Dynasty Peonies… Dynasty Peonies doesn’t ask permission. Oversized blooms spill across every panel in a riot of colour that pushes — deliberately — just past the point of polite decoration. The design carries two references simultaneously: the classical Chinese language of the peony, symbolising wealth, prosperity and honour, and the unapologetic glamour of 1980s couture. Shoulder pads in floral form. This is maximalism handled with precision. Scale and colour are pushed to the edge where indulgence tips into something genuinely intoxicating. Dynasty Peonies is a performance.

A deeper, more atmospheric expression of Wilde Dreams. Rich blue tones are lifted with gilded detail, creating a surface that shifts between shadow and light. Embroidered swallows and bees move quietly through the composition, adding moments of texture and narrative. Explore the @harris_reed collection exclusively at Fromental.com

Sometimes a room just happens and suddenly it is magic. The layering of color, the palette, the textures, the push and pull between old and new. It always begins with a single idea, then builds quietly and intentionally until the final moment when everything clicks into place. This is how I feel about this room, “The Pheasanty.” An old English lodge at heart, but reimagined, no hunting, just storytelling. Vintage meets contemporary, layered with pieces from incredible local artisans like @hennessylampworks , @studioroeper ,and @penamade.sf . And that light and wallpaper from the one and only @fromentaldesign and @rosielistudio are completely transportive. They together shimmer, move, and catch the light in a way that makes the entire room feel alive. It is one of those spaces you do not just see, you feel. You can experience it, along with so many other beautifully designed rooms, at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase, open through May 25. Grateful for every single person who helped bring this vision to life. @cook_construction_sf @fromentaldesign @rosielistudio @penamade.sf @hennessylampworks @studioroeper @starkcarpet_sf @diluzioinc @chroma_colors_ A special thanks to john Krause for the amazing wallpaper install Photography @josemanuel.alorda
