This chunk of wood definitely looked like it was destined to become firewood when I saw it in our wood pile covered in dirt. Never judge a book by its cover.
An unusual burl growth which we cut from the side of a walnut log turned out to be a hidden gem! Expertly stained in our custom Smoked Walnut and varnished to a gloss finish, which adds beautiful luster and depth, making the wood grain pop. Of course we need somewhere to place our martini glass! The large crevice is filled with an elegant and luxurious array of solid bronze rounds, and complemented with a bronze base.
