The Olympics always leave me inspired. Watching the athletes push their limits reminds me of the beauty of hard work and perseverance. I really admire the commitment to their craft. I was thinking about that during a long, drifting conversation with a friend over the phone while testing some new brushes and letting my hand wander.
A practice is about showing up, picking up the tools, and staying with it long enough for something to happen. Within that deep focus, I often lose track of time, until the shifting light in the room finally pulls me back to the present.

🚨🚨🚨“Offline is the New Luxury” editorial illustrations series just won @cqjournal 🥇Quarterly Creative 86 award. Last year was nonstop and I never even shared this collab, so here it is.
This piece was made for Nike’s @snkrs_sole Map launch, helping sneaker fans navigate stores and events IRL, bridging the gap between the app and the street.
Red skin tones run through every figure, pulling from SNKRS’s signature color to tie the whole world together, bold, optimistic, unmistakably Nike.

💫🏆 I just found out I won the Arts Applied Awards Best Illustration in Packaging for my collaboration with @fabricsushi ! The project is a limitedu edition 60-piece box and tote bag, where design and illustration come together around a single idea: flavors that connect.
The narrative draws from something I find endlessly fascinating, the way fungi connect through invisible networks to grow together. That became the visual and emotional backbone of the piece: life makes sense when we share it.🍣🥢 🫂

Mek Frinchaboy is an illustrator, designer, and art director whose work moves between dream and symbolism.
10 × 10 is a collaborative poster project celebrating the first 10 years of Bardo.
For Drop 06, Mek imagines togetherness on a cosmic scale. As she puts it, “The sky at which we look up is the same for all, connecting us across space and time.”
Her poster invites us to pause, lift our gaze, and remember that we orbit together. It feels like a quiet moment of hope. A reminder that even in uncertain times, we can look up.
A tribute to connection, and to the beautiful things that happen when we make something together.
