I’ll be hitting the airwaves again next week with a very special show 🇯🇵 Last month I had the honour of visiting the country that has been top of my bucket list since I was a little kid watching anime on Saturday mornings at my parents house. Whilst I’ve always been fascinated by Japanese TV, art, fashion and food, it is undoubtedly the music that has always meant the most to me. I travelled around Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo for a month and heard some of the most incredible music in smoky underground listening bars, crowded streets and nightclubs right across Japan - and now you can too! Expect city pop, anime soundtracks, jazz, funk, soul and much more as I try and transport you to the Land of the Rising Sun for two hours. Thanks as always to my @reformradio family for the opportunity 🙏

FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY returns to @piccadillycentral_mcr with special guest @hannah_ogorman_ , co-founder of Manchester independent station @steamradiomcr and @nossamcr - a party series which pushes community driven dancefloors filled with Afro-Latin rhythms, percussive bass, left-field disco and global psych. I’m gassed to announce my new event series FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY which will see me and some of my best mates and selectors shell it in one of my favourite booths in the city centre - @piccadillycentral_mcr - from 9pm to 2am on 8th August. Much like my own DJ sets, For One Night Only has no strictly defined music policy and will see each DJ reach deep into their record bag, playing everything from soul, hip hop and disco to techno, garage and bass. Expect euphoric vibes, secret dubs and all sorts of silliness. ⚽️ TEAM SHEET: 👩‍⚕️ @imadre_dj has been making huge waves in the local scene recently. A doctor by day and a selector by night, from scrubs to dubs, she’ll be sure to give you your medicine 💊 🐮 What can I say about @djmoouk ? Apart from being one of my closest mates, he’s also a hugely talented DJ and promoter with his @looney.grooves event series showcasing the finest in bass music and recently going global. Had a belter on the radio with my buddy @djmoouk last night, we played some mellow cuts to start with and chatted about what’s been working in our DJ sets recently before bringing out the big guns later on. Together they are ‘Happy Meal’, two mates with a shared love for soulful rhythms, piano stabs and silly drops. Having played together at festivals and parties across the city, they hit the Reform airwaves next month with a mixture of daft anecdotes, hidden gems and rude basslines. Definitely one of the more surreal b2b sets of my career.. It was a pleasure to jump on the decks with @nightmayor2024 and @djmoouk at @threelittlewordsmcr last night to celebrate the completion of bus franchising within the @beenetworkgm .
