All weekend long, GLT volunteers were out tidying up our roadsides as part of the Earth 🌎 Day Weekend Cleanup! From one end of Granby to the other, so many people stepped up to make a difference, protect our environment, and help keep our community looking its best.

Today’s a big day for our GLT Earth 🌎 Day Cleanup efforts – we know that many of our volunteers will be out on our country roads today making a difference. A special thank you 🙏 to GLT Member Mark Kennedy, who spent nearly 8 hours yesterday cleaning up the northern part of Rt. 20.

The Granby Land Trust is STILL LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS to help with our annual Earth Day Roadside Cleanup. So far, nearly 75 of your neighbors have signed up to spend part of their weekend (now through Sunday) helping clean up our roadsides.
All you need to bring is your energy ⚡️ — we’ll take care of the dumpster!

📣 GLT EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT – Earth Day Weekend Cleanup.
In what has become a Granby tradition, the Granby Land Trust will take part in the Great Global Cleanup® over Earth Day Weekend (April 23–26). This worldwide campaign removes billions of pieces of trash from neighborhoods, beaches, rivers, lakes, trails, and parks — reducing waste and plastic pollution, improving habitats, and preventing harm to wildlife and people.
Here in Granby, we’re asking residents to help clean up our roadsides as part of the GLT’s annual Earth 🌎 Day Weekend Cleanup. Choose any neighborhood you like — just 👉email us at [email protected] to let us know where you plan to work so we can avoid overlap and track our reach. In advance of April 23, all registered volunteers will get an email with more info about the effort and our new trash drop-off location.
