Shoot, score, and see the SAP Center glow up! On Saturday, 3/28 at the College Basketball Tournament, San Jose State digital media art students will be creating a fun and interactive experience for fans. Using an internally lit, glowing basketball, you can shoot 3 free throws at an LED-illuminated hoop. If you score, huge lighting projections will be activated on the exterior of the SAP Center. Make sure to check it out while you still can!

Last night, Spartans lit up more than the game. Outside the SAP Center during the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, SJSU digital media art students, guided by Professor Craig G. Hobbs, created an interactive light installation that engaged fans and transformed public space through art and technology. Projects like this go beyond the classroom. They give students the chance to apply their skills in real-world settings, collaborate at a professional level, and contribute to experiences seen by thousands.
