One year later, Lawncrest Library is full of life!
We recently stopped back at the library to visit the Art Club, a weekly gathering that meets every Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and to see how the renovated space is serving the community.
The $4.5 million renovation at Lawncrest Library transformed the space into a clean, modern, and exciting space for residents to come together and share experiences. In the words of Librarian Faith Gibson, "We're not just making art, we're making community..."

On this day in 1876, the Centennial Exposition held its opening day ceremonies right here in Philadelphia!
To commemorate the event, Highmark Mann has commissioned A Hundred Years On, a new oratorio by composer @peterboyermusic and librettist Mark Campbell. This exciting world premiere on June 17 will be conducted by Anthony Parnther, directed by Tazewell Thompson, performed by @philorch and @thecrossingchoir . Tickets start at just $18.76!
