Philly I’m popping up Tuesday 05/11 5-7pm with my Free Brunch Program fam with your annual Book and Vinyl Exchange. . . Inspired by creative recycling and the work of Swap DC, this is a moment for you to clear space and share with our Southwest community with intention! Bring up to 10 items, books or vinyl records in good condition from your own collection/accumulation and exchange for new-to-you items to take home. . It’s important to keep things in circulation. I think tapping into that energy of recycling and sharing— especially physical media is essential in these times. . Pull up for free groceries, bring a book/a record or three… I hear there will be snickerdoodles, and also other household items!! . Not an engagement tactic, correcting a date I misprinted on the last flyer. Hahah

I feel like I can adapt to cooking challenges within any ingredients or dietary restrictions— but limit me to using only 1 bowl and spoon and you might knock me down 😩🤭 . . All jokes aside, the more I cook the more I learn. I love learning about food cultures and new to me ingredients. For this recipe I used a blend of dried chilis from a local Latin market. In the past few years of cohabitation @angeledwardsart has been tutoring me in the fine art of cleaning up as you go along. Some days are still better on that front than others though hahaha šŸ˜‚ . What kind of cook are you in the kitchen? Do you avoid making elaborate meals because of the clean up? Do you use the ā€œif I cook, you cleanā€ rule in your household? Let me know in the comments. šŸ‘ØšŸ¾ā€šŸ³ . Ft. These birria chicken tacos I made in the @instantpotofficial and my @lodgecastiron skillet. . Chicken breast and onions from @freebrunchprogram and cheese from @bunnyhopphl

Ahhhhh 2026! In 2025, I grounded myself in community, love, mutual aid, reciprocity, and justice. I published my first-ever op-ed. I danced. I laughed. I cried. I traveled. I grew, cooked and shared food with family and friends. Nourishment has always been political and deeply personal. I joined the board of the Norris Square Neighborhood Project, strengthened relationships with people who move with intention, and deepened my relationship with myself. I learned to listen more closely, to rest when I could, and to stay rooted even when the world felt unbearably heavy. While I hold gratitude close, I cannot ignore the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the continued war on working-class people in the United States, the increased military presence in Puerto Rico, and ICE’s ongoing terrorization of our communities. Holding joy and grief at the same time has been one of this year’s greatest lessons. Still, I am deeply grateful to be fed, loved, housed, and held. To be surrounded by people who pour into me, challenge me, and remind me why this work matters and to be part of what comes next. History reminds us that these moments repeat themselves and that the PEOPLE always win. I'm sure im missing folks in this post! Thank you to everyone who was part of my 2025. ✨

Proof of love. I’ve been busy. With family in the expanse of the word. With work, beyond and outside of the capitalist pseudo ownership of the word. Every time i type the word word I type the word world and yeah. Thats what i mean.

Come enjoy some laughs while we raise money for @freebrunchprogram They are a food bank that serves Southwest Philly. They’ve been put under financial strain by the recent SNAP cuts. Luckily, community exists for moments like these.

Slide Thru: A Humble Journey Continues… šŸ‘ØšŸ¾ā€šŸ³ Finally Homies and Family, its the start of my take on elevated experiences and how I want to share my love with y’all. Starting with a private early coursed dinner then finishing with a public cookout. (Grilling, music and games. My favorite thing in culture is that music and food transcends across all of history. This is what community is built on, which I want this to continue to grow so The ability to share with everyone becomes easier. London Dont worry it’s coming soon… 🤪
