Happy to reveal some new work I’ve been making at @wolvesartandculture since before a Christmas. Extremely Convincing Animal Noises is a new collaboration with the Art Forum youth group at Wolverhampton Art Gallery. Together, we made a record in response to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. Taking the images and the accompanying soundtrack played in the gallery as a jumping-off point, we decided to respond to the images themselves. Through a series of Foley workshops, we recreated the sounds we interpreted from the images by combining everyday objects and materials to make sound. Through the crunching snow of cat litter to a hot-water-bottle-fish, the record compiles Foley waterfalls, black bears, penguins, fish and glaciers.

Since we moved to our parents, Claude stays with Nan and Grandad during the day and comes to us at night. He’s been a shoulder boy from when he first came to us, but we thought we’d show you how he leaves our bedroom every morning 🌅 Up 🎈 Claude! 🆙 ⬆️🦘

Here it is (was) my PhD show: Phenology Out of Joint. It ended up being a bit of a Mayfly show, as ubiquitous as Flying Ant Day and aptly derailed by Storm Goretti. Thank you to all who came on Monday and all those who responded to coming on storm day. Thank you to @roodhissou for being ever supportive, encouraging and loving, for helping me install, de-install and paint the walls a beautiful grass green and providing fantastic cake. Thank you to @symstellium for helping with install and a grand paint job. Thank you @ideasloading and @ollyromf for a miraculous de-install. Thank you to all who took part in artworks over the course of the PhD and to @theoreevesevison and @s_whipps for being the best supervisors I could ever have.

Announcing: MENTAL HEALTH FOR ARTISTS 2026 🗨️ Mental Health for Artists returns with a season of talks exploring care, vulnerability, and sustainability in creative practice. Across five events, artists share ways of working that are rooted in attentiveness, lived experience, and long-term thinking. This year’s programme looks closely at how artists sustain themselves and their practices. Through conversations about tenderness, grief, regeneration, seasonality, and world-making, the season offers space to reflect on how we live, work, and care within contemporary art. I’ve taken to a practice of drawing a @claudefold each time I’m at the studio as a way of keeping a drawing practice, and sending them as little love letters to my neighbour @roodhissou thank you for always believing in me and my practice and for helping me find this studio! I love you, and so does Claude. This one was made with Kyo-iro Indigo ink and a calligraphy brush.

So I now finally have a studio! (Still in need of something more permanent to fund it) I am open to studio visits and getting the space looking nice. Please don’t hesitate to contact! I’m now based in Minerva Works above @planestructure soon to be sharing with @ideasloading and @ollyromf it feels nice to still be in Brum despite living in Stourbridge, and even nicer to be sharing with friends and being opposite @roodhissou
