It's such a trip to be able to speak and smile in person with someone who deeply influenced me in my earlier years - One of my absolute favorite movies in my teens was Party Girl, as it was the most clear reflection of my life at that time in film and it gave me hope that I and my friends were all on track, despite what society was saying to us. So decades later when I moved upstate and got a landscaping job, it completely blew my mind to learn that my beloved employer, Harry Birckmayer, wrote the screenplay and produced the film! I'm grateful to also have learned that you're both still super tuned into art, fashion and performance. Thank you, Harry, for your introduction to the #realworld and having written such a delightful story, and thank you Parker Posey, for all of the amazing characters you've brought to life in your prolific work! I plan to be as fully and fantastically me as you are you, ever-curious and playful, for the rest of my life! ps #PartyGirl would be the BEST musical! #PartyGirltheMusical”
Watching this film in the same location as we shot it was kinda wild, kinda meta, and kinda made us feel like all was right in the world. The event was 100% fantastique and exceeded our wildest expectations of a welcome home. Thanks to
