They’re bastions of comfort and care, where anyone can walk in with clogged pores - or chapped lips or cracked heels - and leave with the exact thing they didn’t know they needed. “Embryolisse” is technically a brand name, but in France it means one thing: an aluminum tube of the ointment-like moisturizer @embryolisseusa Lait-Crème Concentré. The shea-butter-enriched cream was first developed as a skin salve by a dermatologist at a Paris hospital in the 1950s. Its renown grew, and today pharmacists also recommend it as a wipe-off cleanser, an after-shave, and a sunburn soother.
