Twinning Tuesday • She may look like daddy but this girl is my twin at heart. Everytime I try to parent her, it literally feels like I’m parenting adult me outta her (I wasn’t like this as a child y’all 😫) • If you’ve known me long enough, you’ll know that veggies aren’t my thing (yes I’m 29 and yes I know I shouldn’t be saying this out loud but oh well...) anyways I made this bombass spinach and collard greens mix yesterday and everyone loved it, but tell me why y’all’s niece proceeds to say “Mommy this is grass, we don’t eat grass”. Fam I almost died 🤣🤣🤣. What’s worse is I’ve said a similar phrase one too many times when I didn’t feel like eating a salad but it’s usually when I’m out with friends. I was so stunned I had no comeback (I always do 😂😂😂) • Do you ever feel like you are parenting you outta your kids? Mommy and Me Monday!!! • Happy Monday y’all. So for the past week, I’ve been in a mommy funk mentally. I honestly never thought having a girl will make me question everything about me. I found myself questioning my habits, decisions and every little thing I do. • Instead of focusing on my strengths, I started highlighting all my not so strong suits - I function in my organized chaos state - I’m usually not girly - I’m not fancy (casual is my way of life) - I can’t do any makeup to save my life (well except for a nice lippie) • My besties came to the rescue (y’all we need people that help us get out of our own way). Today I’m reminding myself of little big things like: - I’m not going to mess up my daughter - She’ll develop her own personality regardless of me. - I’m freaking INTELLIGENT and I don’t need to be fancy. - She can get organization skills from Dad. - Being my absolute SELF is the best image I can show her. • Have you ever struggled with how your personality might affect your kids?
