We are highly suggesting no cats due to the reaction towards cats that she saw in crates at adoption events so we’d just rather be safe. She is crate trained if needed but prefers to just nap on the sofa if you need to step out and she does not get into anything. She can get a little excited when meeting new people but is so chill once the newness wears off. She is completely housebroken. She would most likely be best as an only pet unless you have the understanding of how to do a very slow introduction to another dog. While we are still looking for our foster Moana’s permanent home, we also want to help free up space wherever we can. Many of you don’t know that there are other adoptable @acctphilly pets in a few pet stores around the Philadelphia area. Today we walked around at the Chestnut Hill Home and Garden Festival and stopped in the @doggiestylepets store there and met these two cuties, Happy and Queenie. Happy seemed content with people watching, so she’d love to see you! Go check them out if you’re in the area and check out the fairly new store there!

One thing about Moana is that she loves to be around people. She struggled with getting back to eating after surgery but we feel like she was just stressed being back in a kennel. We’re still taking it slow but by the next day she was ready to get back into her routine. Tough girl overcame almost a week of no food and emergency surgery so I’d say she’s a fighter in the best way! Thank you to @acctphilly for making sure that she got the best care while she was sick!

Moana update 💛 This week, Moana had surgery to remove a blockage and is now recovering back in the @fosterfriendsofphilly home. Our focus is getting her eating again so she can heal and feel better. Moana is still considered available for adoption through @acctphilly —we’re just giving her the time she needs to fully recover first. 💖

Moana has not been feeling well since Thursday and they found something that looked like a small corn cob although we have not had any corn on the cob here for quite some time. 🤷‍♀️ She is being held overnight for observation. Thank you to @acctphilly and @pasevets for helping to get the problem resolved. We are looking forward to helping her heal once she is back with us and we’ll continue to search for her forever home. She’ll definitely come with some new experiences now.

She caught a doggy cold, spent some time in isolation, and was added to the timestamp list before being rescued by a temporary foster and then moved to a longer-term foster home. Moana is doing wonderfully in her foster home, but she’s really hoping to find her forever home so she can stay put! Her foster parents would be thrilled to continue fostering many more in the future, so we’re not looking to adopt right now.
