Feisty has been hanging out in our foster room for far too long 💔 True to her name, she can be a little feisty at first — but once she trusts you, she’s the sweetest little shadow.
Her perfect home would be with 1-2 cat-savvy, patient adults who understand the importance of going at her pace and respecting her boundaries. Most days, she’s curled up next to us while we work, occasionally climbing into our laps to remind us it’s break time 🥹 She also LOVES toys and treats.
Feisty has especially bonded with my boyfriend, and she’s continued warming up to me more every day. She would do best as the only cat in the home.

Recently, we officially unveiled our big dog yard, made entirely possible by a generous grant from @vcacharities . Their grant enables us to have a large yard we can use year round, easily disinfect and safely use to exercise our dogs in playgroups so more dogs can get outside everyday! 🌿
Not only that, but we launched our new Philly Pupventures program, also made possible by generous financial support and training through VCA Charities and their Dog Day Out initiative. Pupventures are an easy way for community volunteers to give dogs a much-needed break from the shelter while connecting them with potential adopters out in the community 🐕
On average, dogs in shelters spend 23 hours a day in their kennels. Programs like Philly Pupventures provide critical mental and physical relief and studies show short outings and temporary foster placement of dogs result in dogs being 5–14 times more likely to be adopted!
With more than 8,000 dogs expected to come through our doors this year, programs like this make a real impact, and with your help we can reach our goal to hit 250 Philly Pupventures by July 4th to celebrate America’s 250th, and many more beyond that!

She’s great on leash, loves playing with other dogs, and is currently building her confidence more and more every day 💫 In her foster home, she also lives with three cats and genuinely enjoys their company.

Adopt Labello! This blue-eyed boy is at @acctphilly , and he is an absolute sweetheart! He was such a good dog while we taped Rescue Me in the @fox29philly studio. Labello is currently in a fabulous foster working to be the best boy he can be, but would like nothing more than to find his forever family. Labello is dog friendly, cat friendly and kid friendly. It’s hard to believe he was found as a stray, just left on someone’s porch to fend for himself. Labello is a little shy at first with some people, but he warms up quickly, and will be your best buddy. Labello is about a year old, so he’s still a puppy, and would do best with an active family who will teach him the ropes. Around 4 years old, Moana is the definition of sweet and soulful. She lives for cuddles, cozy downtime, and being close to her people. Calm and affectionate, she’s happiest curled up beside you — but when playtime calls, she’s more than ready to join in 🎾✨
After being found wandering the streets, Moana was brought to ACCTPhilly, where she battled a doggy cold and spent time recovering in isolation. Now, she’s thriving in foster care and ready to find the forever home she deserves 🏡
