FONO is thrilled to announce The Pit Stop: happening May 23 during Ottawa’s busiest (and arguably best) weekend: the legendary, Great Glebe Garage Sale.
For this special day, the HiFi Lounge is opening early. The garage door will be up, the BBQ will be fired, DJ will be spinning, drinks will be flowing, and music will be bumping all afternoon long. Expect boozy lemonade, daytime drink specials, hot dogs fresh off the grill, iced coffee, alleyway hangs, and plenty of garage sale storytelling.
We also want to see your most outrageous, bizarre, unbelievably good GGG finds. We’ll be hosting a “Best Find of the Day” contest, and the winner will take home a very special FONO prize. More details coming soon — start assembling your garage sale dream team now.

Just announced as a part of our FONO Presents series:
Join us on June 25 for a rare performance by Radwan Ghazi Moumneh and Frédéric D. Oberland. This show marks the debut duo project from these long-standing collaborators, following the release of their LP, Eternal Life No End.
The music is a melding of ritual electronics and contemplative devotional forms, evolving from quiet experiments at the Hotel2Tango studio in Montréal into a full-scale transatlantic recording project. Moumneh is best known as the founder of Jerusalem In My Heart (JIMH), an interdisciplinary project rooted in Arabic musical traditions. Oberland is a co-founder of the avant-rock and free improvisation collective Oiseaux-Tempête.
Together, they utilize a diverse array of instrumentation—including buzuk, rababa, Buchla and modular synths, and alto saxophone—to create a sound world where electronics press against the grain of acoustic instruments and modal lines drift into noise. This performance traces sonic territories between memory and invention, devotion and abrasion.
