INTRODUCING OUR LAUNCH PARTY COLLABORATORS: @geunf is the DJ alias of Noah Elliott Perkins, a producer, singer and DJ from Ottawa, Ontario. Noah is a member the band @los3333r , and also produces under the alias 16:9 ratio, an ambient / drone project created in 2024. You can catch Geunf delivering one of his iconic DJ sets at the inaugural Engine launch party January 3rd 🚀 Our launch party features performances from @2kyerg , @infatuation.supply , @geunf , @sweet_morgane , and @hug.mosh , 3 open decks slot from 9pm to 10pm, an evening of live visuals provided by VJ @flexpanther , and more! The event will be raising funds to support a club member Noor and her family of 12 currently displaced in Northern Gaza. Local artist @blood__vine will be selling merch and tabling to further raise funds for Noor and you can read about the campaign to support her in our bio! Discover clarity through the abstractions of 16:9 ratio (@geunf ), the alias of Ottawa-based DJ, producer, and singer Noah Elliott Perkins. Having previously graced Pique’s stage as a member of hyperpop trio @los3333r , the artist returns to Arts Court to activate an introspective sheen. Constructing bold sound collages from glitch-laden field recordings and crystalline synths, Perkins’ work as 16:9 ratio stirs evocative sensations. His live sets weave improvisational ambient composition with re-imaginations of recorded material, all tied together by melancholic vocal passages. 🌱 16:9 ratio’s debut album “Our Keyboards,” released via @official_wesurf earlier this year, decisively captures the maneuvers of an ambient alchemist. Following this feat, Perkins was selected to join @mutekmontreal ’s Incubator cohort of emerging Canadian artists. Step into 16:9 ratio’s memory-woven world at Pique on December 13. Her work primarily explores layers of sound, repetition of notes, harmonic spectra, and resonances achieved through acoustic string instruments such as the zither and lyre, which she employs to craft various tuning systems. 🪸 16:9 ratio is the ambient alias of Ottawa-based artist Noah Elliott Perkins - a DJ, producer, singer, and member of the band Los3r. 🪴 Redshft is the alias of Adel Manji, a 22-year-old producer, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. They were born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, and are still currently based there.
