Sounds of Africa Museum @soundsofafrica1 curated an International Women's event titled “Ownership, Visibility, Legacy: Women in African Music” at the Amazon HQ in London. I was one of the Panelists. Our conversations highlighted the essential role women play in the African music ecosystem — not just as creators and artists but also as executives, producers, creatives, strategists, and cultural architects.  We discussed authorship, equity, power, sustainability, and the long-term legacy of women in African music. It was amazing to be in a room full of beautiful and accomplished women. It was such a lovely wholesome evening. Some love can’t be said in words… it has to be lived. Working with her children to create this moment for Mrs. Funmi Falana, (S.A.N), was one of those experiences. Every detail, every word, every choice was carefully crafted on their behalf to show her the depth of their love, and to honour the life she has built.
