“Traces” explores the body, emotion, and identity as deeply interconnected, each shaping and revealing the others within and against social structures, particularly those related to gender. Emotion is not separate from the body, but lived through it, often becoming suppressed or fragmented under imposed norms, yet persisting as a trace that carries both personal and collective histories. In this sense, identity is not fixed, but continuously formed through the ways we feel, remember, and inhabit our bodies. We approach the body as a living archive where memory and emotion are embedded in gestures, tensions, and perceptions, and where drawing and painting become ways of accessing and giving form to what cannot be fully articulated. Vulnerability becomes central to this process, allowing these internal states to surface and shift. From this emerges a shared position of resistance, understood as a refusal to accept predefined roles or stable definitions of identity, where the figures we create hold a tension between fragility and agency, reclaiming the traces they carry and transforming them into expressions of self definition.

Breathing Studios(2026) An AI system learns from the works and gestures of artists in the studio. The space begins to move — slowly, almost imperceptibly — like a breathing organism. Human presence is absorbed and transformed into a subtle spatial rhythm. Shown at @florencetrust ,London /breathing-studios/

I am pleased to present a duo exhibition <Permeable,>. <Permeable,> explores shifting boundaries between image, material, and space. Through the work of Ameya Pisupati and Jane Kim, architectural forms are absorbed and reconfigured across surface, textile, and site. Set within a former church, the exhibition unfolds as a passage in which body, object, and architecture exist within a continuous field of permeability. Jane Kim @janekinm Ameya Pisupati @ameyaandart Curated by Shiloh Choo @hajinchoo Graphic Design by June Cho @juneecho 📍 Redhill Street, NW1 4BG  PV: 5–8 PM Tuesday, 12th May. *Open  12–7 PM, 13th–17th May *Appointments only 18th–22th May All are warmly invited to the private view. Appointments via link in bio.

What Artists Say To Me Track 8 of 11 on my new album, and one I’m hoping to be talking about and playing tomorrow at the listening party @division_of_labour @florencetrust I learn so much from listening to artists as well as from their works. Sonia Boyce is part inspiration on this album, she doesn’t appear on this song but inspired the creation of the oldest recorded song on the three albums - Transformation Song (track 10). I first saw Sonia sing back in 2003 and she appears in my novel The Interruptors (2005) which has the first version of Transformation Song. Three other artists feature in What Artists Say To Me, you’ll have to listen to find out! But this was the best photo I could think of me listening to an artist. And what a photo by the wonderful @vanleyburke This was back in 2020 when Sonia and I were making the epic In the Castle of My Skin. What a show!!! The last show before covid and tripping into this space of crafting final versions of all these songs I had hidden away. Hope you can join me tomorrow in London 1-5pm or just have your own Listening Party! The album is ready for downloading on @bandcamp first then on @applemusic xx Thx to all the artists 🙌🌞🙌 @soniaboyceartist @new_reality_records
