My screen time is through the roof because of the winter @olympics and so is my excitement to see @flo_taba , @miro._.taba and @ianmatteoli compete these days! Having worked with them end of last year for the SAMSUNG Winter Olympics campaign brings back good memories to this gem of a shoot 💥 Writing this also makes me realise how much I suck at BTS shots. Could only stay for the first 24h but watched every minute I could on the stream until it ended this morning. Not sure how any of this is even remotely possible. // ASPHALT DREAMS⁠ ⁠ Whether we like it or not, AI is here to stay and will forever change how we live our lives. And yep, whether I like it or not, it’s going to change photography too.⁠ ⁠ Rather than clinging to the "good old days," I teamed up with my friends at @protokoll.group and stylist and designer @lottakmeyer to take her new urban outdoor collection into uncharted territory.⁠ ⁠ In ASPHALT DREAMS we blended real-life talents with AI-generated environments. Meaning all models were styled, lit, and shot in the studio, while the backgrounds were created using AI models.⁠ ⁠ Beyond testing the limits of light accuracy and consistency of locations, the goal was also to push the boundaries with uncommon angles and wide lenses.⁠ ⁠ The secret sauce? A mix of MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, Photoshop... and patience. A lot of patience. With AI still in its early stages, it wasn’t just about pressing a button. We researched the shoot requirements, ran countless tests, tweaked perspectives and fine-tuned depth maps to make everything feel seamless.⁠ ⁠ Do I still prefer shooting on a ‘real’ set? 100% - and I always will.
