每天我們請 Siri、Gemini 或 Google Assistant 播放歌曲、點晚餐、提供資訊。毫不費力、隱形無痕。但如果這份順暢,其實是建立在性別化勞動與父權幻想的隱形架構之上呢?
這個閱讀環節以Sarah Sharma的兩篇文本為起點:”Manifesto for the Broken Machine” and “Going to Work in Mommy’s Basement”帶動關於科技女性主義媒體理論(techno-feminist media theory)與拒絕的技術邏輯(techno-logics of refusal)的討論。
我們聚在一起不是為了講書,而是分享經驗與觀察如「母職指令」的語音助理、將Mommy’s Basement延伸至數位時代的零工應用程式如 Uber 與 Keeta,以及讓男性幼兒化、同時讓女性化照護隱形的”coder caves”
參加者將重新理解科技與女性的關係;不是一份要求被納入的訴求,而是對父權機器的激進拒絕。故障機器並非故障,它是一種策略、一個安全房間。亦是透過藝術介入、日常破壞與集體拒絕來讓系統卡住的方式。

During our FP11 book fair, @andiosound initiated a @floatingprojects signature event, “Spatial Calibration” — an audiovisual experiment and performative test within a limited space.
FP members @andiosound , @fukkuen33 and @ng5_sing formed a temporary unit FPCManual, collaborating with gEEEEEse (@odsynth , @wingkinlui , @tuna_production_ , @space_bar_presser , @tim_footage ) and @catchacat . It was a vivid night where a wide spectrum of audiovisual performative demonstrations unfolded at @floatingprojects .

謝俊昇個展《止於那端》是對兒時回憶的追尋,也是對家人生活習慣的觀察。藝術家搜尋老照片及記憶中孩提時期與爺爺同住的舊居樣貌,從舊居老地板的瓷磚、盆栽及歌曲中抽取素材,拼湊出印象中對親人及舊居的點滴、梳理成長片段中對家庭的感覺與溫度。
時間在名為成長的過程中推移,舊家、童年回憶及親人都逐漸變得模糊,藝術家的創作成為他給自己的一場私密儀式,回溯記憶中細軟的部分,溫柔地讓美好的細碎安放於心中的一隅,止於那端。

聚疊十年,據點成員再次聚集,反覆運用空間與現成物,勾劃出演出者在行動中的思考路徑。聚疊是一條打開句點的行動線,在不斷試驗中整合與重組:推倒、觀察、再加入,在策劃與編排之後,展開一場近乎不假思索的藝術勞動。
踏入第十一年,據點句點邀請新知舊好於行動期間即興加入,重組空間中既有的拾得之物,也可自備材料或樂器。在時限內回應各種發生與變化,成為展出期間層層聚疊的迭代。獨立行動,合作對話,以各自的方法存在於此。
Ten years into its accumulation, members reunite for another assemblage. Through negotiations with objects in space, performers’ movements interweave, tracing evolving lines of thought. Assemblage proposes an alternative mode of narration through action. It operates through continuous experimentation—integrating, reconfiguring, deconstructing, observing, and reintervening—culminating in an improvised sequence of artistic labour that emerges from, yet exceeds, prior planning and choreography.
Entering its eleventh year, the collective invites new and old friends to join at any moment during its unfolding. Contributors may reorient existing objects, or introduce their own materials and instruments. Responding to temporal vignettes as they arise, each intervention contributes to the expanding iterations of the assemblage. Actions may be undertaken independently or in dialogue with others—coexisting through movement, exchange, and presence, each in their own way.

[ What is Spatial Calibration ]
This Spatial Calibration is a special edition of the Spatial Pressure Calibration . The original event began at Floating Projects 10 years ago, it connected several friends and members with multiple unique themes and playing styles during the sessions. This time, by removing “pressure”, we wish to pay tribute to the form through audio visuals, jamming and experimentation.You are welcome to experience this calibration process with us.

The missing voice: “The inner voice is not a singular voice, but a multitude of voices. Many voices speak in our minds at the same time. I guess that inner voice is more than just sounds. There is a visual component to it too, the imagery that comes to our mind. It has a scent, a taste, a sense. There are a variety of stimuli. The exact spot where words fail to describe it fully…If I feel something, that feeling has no language…” —Excerpted from A Dictionary of Sensitive Sounds by Elif Öner and Evrim Kavcar, page 77
We want to amplify the quiet activity of binding a book. No marks have to be made, we will provide loose pages/texture of imaginary sound prompts. We attached contact mics on our binding tools and everyday objects that clip, fastens and stitches. A contact mic picks up and reverberates on different surfaces. Sandwich on beeswax it plucks a siren’s cry. Taped on clips, the sound bounces and crinkles. On the back of a spoon, the wood deepens the sound, like aiming a bucket on a well. May we shift our ears to the tools that bind loose pages, before a legible and published sequence/narrative. They can be heard, reverberated, rubbed and scratched on different surfaces, let’s spy on them and hear their inner monologues and clashes. Feel free to bring your own zines, surfaces and paper to interact with these sound clips!

你或許覺得裝訂書籍是一場安靜的儀式,但我們這次想放大這種寂靜。我們準備了散頁/不同質感的紙張/布料/未被定義的聲音想象。接觸式麥克風與裝訂工具合為一體:夾子、釘書機、剪刀、勺子,那些日常中用來固定、夾緊、縫合的小物件。聲音被拾取,在蜂蠟,夾子上彈跳、起皺;在勺子背面變得深沉,像沉入水底。在成為可讀之書之前,讓我們將耳朵貼近那些裝訂散頁的工具。它們可以被傾聽,在不同表面上迴響、摩擦、刮擦。歡迎攜帶你自己的zine、不同質感的材料或紙張,來與這些sound clips互動!
