I’m still very incredibly proud of this act and this initial execution came together oh so perfectly 🤩 Around this time last year, I was coming down off the high of performing at Bushwig, mourning a sudden death in my family, and losing my steady 9-5 office day job. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed of having my own late night talk show, so when @sol0vin0 ‘s Tunnel Vision gave the prompt of “unsettling 3am vibes”, I conceived of the latest late night talk show of all time, and here it is inflicted upon you in all its glory 🌛👁️📺👁️🌜BIG THANK YOUS to @pegbunny.atx for your part as Danielle Johnson and @shesyourbubu for recording this video!!! 🩵Last Saturday’s Blue Ball 🩵 WOW what a damn good time! Thank you to @weirdcitysistersatx for organizing and thank you to @msgirl6_ for your MC skills! Congratulations to Bizarre Grand Prize winner @gothess.jasmine so well deserved! I felt v. honored walking next to you for top 2 and could not have put together my look without your artistic influence and inspiration truly!! I’m really proud of this look y’all and let me tell you why. I’ve been busy with gigs for the last few months on a whole new level and while I do love being booked and in-demand don’t get me wrong!! I started to bite off without chewing a bit and felt some creative burnout towards the end of April. But a break came just in time and for the first time since this year started I was looking at 2 weeks without any hard drag plans or deadlines. It felt so good to breathe and let the creative inspiration flow more naturally again. At first I just thought I’d just put together a monochrome outfit for the night, but I started adding more and more and more to it, and really thought about the category description. I let myself fall into crafting and construction and creation like I hadn’t done in a good long while, pushed myself artistically in the best way. Refreshing. Replenishing. Challenging. Fun. It felt very appropriate to present a metamorphosis like that the other night, shish kebab skewers and all 🦋 🌀THIS MONTH I’m keeping it light with only 2 shows (+ 1 private gig!) and I’m really looking forward to them: 🧿WEDNESDAY 5/20 - @andtheywererommatesatx at @rainon4th with a Tarot4Tarot theme!
