This past weekend in Raleigh was truly special. Michelle and I got to bring two of our own
@uscoffeechamps brewers cup competitors. Iām so proud of the way
@huxleyowens and
@cinnamorollfan1 (please change your username) represented
@bebrightcoffee but more importantly themselves. I understand that coffee competitions are not for everyone. Nor is it necessary to validate any baristas skills or journey. But if you could find the value in putting your all into something and live with the results, while treating everyone with love and respect, I think thatās a worth while venture to pursue. And we may have not won or placed this weekend but I know for a fact that both of our competitors became better brewers, coffee professionals, and humans through this experience. Thank you to
@knowwherecoffee for always providing coffees that fit our needs and specs for the competition stage.
This was also
@michellelosangeles first national competition as she competed at the Cup Tasters this year and she blew me away by scoring 7/8 in both her heats! Iām so glad everyone else can see how good of a palate she has and how much I trust and rely on her palate for our company.
It was lovely catching up and spending time with the coffee community. Also happy to have hosted
@argote2015 at our Airbnb for the weekend. Getting to cook for our team and friends will always be a joy! And spending the whole week with Bailey was truly special.
And lastly, congrats to
@manukabloom on becoming the US Brewers Cup Champion. Your routine was amazing and inspirational. Weāll be rooting for you while you do your thing in Brussels! Congrats Champ!
