For @LEGO ’s “Rebuild the World” campaign with @wearesocial , we brought a touch of Harlem magic to the screen. Starring the incomparable @theebillyporter (from “Pose”), we filmed at the beautifully restored @ @unitedpalacenyc , an Art Deco gem in Washington Heights. The theater itself was a star alongside Billy and some kids building a LEGO headpiece. Shot on location with a standout team, this project was all about creativity and the joy of rebuilding. A perfect collaboration of talent and place, and a wonderful continuation of our journey with LEGO. @aoiglobal and director @hirano.works partnered with Fixer for this ambitious @toshibausa shoot inside New York’s historic @grandcentralnyc . To showcase the newly installed LED lighting in the great hall, we secured unprecedented access—filming from the 5th floor catwalks, off-limits to commercial productions since 2001. Despite the challenges of shooting in such an iconic, high-traffic location, our long-standing relationships with MTA film liaisons and a savvy location team made permitting and logistics seamless. Shooting on an @Arri Alexa with a mix of dolly and Steadicam, we combined carefully cast local talent with extras and the general public for wide shots. Teaming up with director @joseph___mann and London-based production house @blink_ink , Fixer produced the Los Angeles portion of this @Axe body spray campaign featuring rappers @@metroboomin and @@coileray . Experienced in handling celebrity shoots, we made sure the limited hours counted as we moved between the TV campaign, a stills shoot and various social media deliverables. Shot on a stage in Downtown LA by DoP @carlosverondp , we worked closely with the team at @tangoproduction in Warsaw to ensure a seamless transition for the UK team to continue their shoot in Eastern Europe. Our production designer worked closely with his Polish counterpart to ensure the set pieces matched so that the camera tricks and visual effects were to spec. Shot on 16mm film for @bbhblacksheep , this music video series for @thelastshadowpuppets was a true standout project. Directed by @saamfarahmand and shot by the legendary Chung-hoon Chung @chung615 (of Oldboy, 2003 fame), we filmed on Malibu’s iconic Westward Beach—the same stretch of sand from the ending of Planet of the Apes. In a unique twist, we literally buried the band members in the sand, creating hidden spaces for them with safety measures in place so they could pop out if the tide came in. The musicians were incredibly game, making the whole shoot a blast. Originally shot as a single Steadicam one-take, the final cut evolved, but the fluidity of that original approach still shines through.
