We would love for you to join us and spread the word of our event. We are already looking for referrals for our next year that begins August 2026. If you know a young person, aged 16-23, who are not currently in education or employment, we would love to hear from you! You are more than welcome to bring this individual to the Exhibition, so they can look around the space (this is where we host our weekly sessions) and meet our current participants. The exhibition will be a relaxed affair where people can drop in and out as they please.

Firefly Future’s Final Exhibition! ✨
Firefly Arts have been working with a group of young people, aged 16-23 not currently in employment or education, but with a keen interest in the creative arts.
We gave them the space to explore their own artistic goals. From filmmaking and performance to costume and set design, and storytelling. Alongside the hands-on learning, our young people enjoyed an action-packed programme of inspiring guest speakers and unforgettable site visits to Edinburgh Playhouse, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Almond Valley, and Impact — leaving everyone dreaming big about a future in the Arts!!
We are now proud to announce their Final Exhibition, showcasing the work they’ve produced since August 2026 ✨
Come along to this free exhibition on April 29th (12-2pm) at Space 1, Howden Park Centre.
Support the arts, support our young people and explore all of their interesting, comedic, dark creations!

Did you know the number of working-class actors, musicians, and writers in the UK has halved since the 1970s? Fewer than 1 in 10 arts workers come from working-class roots. That’s a lot of stories going untold.
Since 1990, Firefly has been changing that. Youth-led and rooted in real experiences, we give young people in West Lothian access to facilities, training, tools, and encouragement to tell stories that matter.
Actors like @owencooper (youngest Emmy winner ever at 16!), @jodiemcomber , @stevengraham1973 , Jack O’Connell, and @vicky.mclure keep our young people believing in what’s possible!! 🥹👏
