Sometimes it’s best for you to hear from the horses mouth... Ciara & Ruairi’s big family wedding. There were massive delays on the M1, so bad some didn’t make the ceremony or drinks reception. There was a mulled wine incident and some dancefloor injuries. It really didn’t stop these two from having the time of their lives! More of this please!!
“Katie photographed our wedding in Bellingham Castle and could not recommend her any more.
Our main brief for the day was to capture precious moments with our two boys and Katie nailed it. Moments on the day we missed but Katie was everywhere and captured them all.
If you want the love and essence of your wedding day photographed in real time, there is no one else better for the job. Every-time we look at the photos from our wedding, we are brought back to being in that moment. The past, the present and the future was snapped perfectly, representing our family as a whole.
Some people may think we were mad going to the beach in the depths of December... not Katie... she helped make it happen and gave us time, just us, our family of four, to re group and remember why we were there and to be in the moment.
From Katie’s arrival in the morning to the dance floor at the bitter end, she made sure we were her priority and helped us to have the day we envisaged. Everyone felt so comfortable being around Katie, honestly from the moment we met it felt like Katies was one of our crew, and a friend by the end. Katie oozes warmth, kindness and totally professionalism with a lotta craic thrown in throughout the day.
The love from the day is caught through all the photos, the singing, the dancing and the chaos from the day.
Katie- a dream to work with, prompt with answering all questions, kept us in the loop on the running of the day, and helped us to organise the day of our dreams with the photos that meant the most to us. Katie kept us calm and reminded us it was our day to do it our way.’

Tips for your Bridal Makeup Trial - Part 1
💕 What you wear is really important. Pick a strappy vest style or bandeau style top in a colour similar to your wedding dress, ivory, white etc. This will allow your make-up artist visibility of your neck, decollete and arms, essential for a perfect balanced complexion match 🎨 It also allows you to see the colours & tones against the right 'backdrop'
💕 Wear your hair in a similar style to your planned wedding hairstyle. You don't have to get your hair done specially, and you don't have to do your bridal hair trial on the same day (in fact, I usually advise against that.... for another post 😅), a nod to the style is perfect, half up half down, up, loose waves, etc.
💕 If you're planning on wearing a self tanner on your wedding day or you will be more tanned naturally, tan for the trial. Booking a spray tan is not necessary, a bit of instant will do perfectly on the body (not on face, your face is always matched to neck, decollete etc)) You'll see the colours, tones and overall look more accurately, makeup pulls very different on tanned vs un-tanned skin.
💕 No facial waxing in the 5 days before. Waxing strips the skin a little, and makeup can get it hard to adhere and sit properly on freshly waxed skin, 5 days your skin to recover. (If you are conscious of any regrowth in that time, you can discuss with your makeup artist at the trial.)
💕 Stop all exfoliating actives, especially Retinol 7 days out. By their nature, they are turning over your skin and can be drying. Makeup will always look better on skin that is well hydrated, plump and juicy 🍓 think moisture plumping serums with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, polyglutamic acid, hydrating masks (even if your an oily girl, light hydrating products should not make your skin more oily 😉)
