🎉Funder Focus: @teamlondonbridge 🎉
We’re excited to share that @findingrhythms has been awarded funding through the Team London Bridge Building Communities Fund!
This support will help us deliver a series of insight sessions for young people at risk of offending, providing professional development, industry exposure and employability support to help participants move closer to meaningful employment opportunities.
The young people taking part will be drawn from our Finding Rhythms Studio programme in South East London - a space where music-making, mentoring and creativity come together to support positive change.
We’re incredibly grateful to Team London Bridge for recognising the value of this work and for investing in opportunities that empower young people and strengthen communities.
We’re looking forward to getting started on the project and sharing updates along the way!🙌
We were delighted to welcome @jonnytaylor86 from @chalet4mgmt for another brilliant Insights workshop with our participants this week!
Jonny shared invaluable insight into the world of artist management, drawing on his experience managing an exciting roster of artists including Hak Baker, Caitlyn Scarlett, Maya Lane, Finlay C and Sola Guinto.
The session explored how artists can build momentum, develop their identity and position themselves professionally within the music industry.
The room was packed out and participants came away inspired with plenty of practical ideas and advice to take forward in their own careers.
Insights workshops like these are such an important part of helping our participants bridge the gap between creativity and the professional music world - and hearing directly from experienced industry professionals makes a huge impact.
A huge thank you to Jonny for taking the time to share his knowledge and experience with us. It was a real privilege to have him join us!🙌🎶
Music can be so much more than creativity or entertainment.
For many people, it becomes a way to process emotion, reduce stress, build confidence and reconnect with others.
This Mental Health Awareness Week, we asked @findingrhythms producer, @tominthechamber , about all things music and mental health.
Here’s what he had to say🎶

We use music as a catalyst to empower people to improve their lives - and this is never more relevant than it is on Mental Health Awareness Week.

"You can be a rockstar if you want to."
This week, we dropped into the studio during @tominthechamber 's session with one of our participants, Kanayo, to get his thoughts on being part of the @findingrhythms programme.
Here's what he had to say🙌
🎉Funder Focus: @footlockeruk + @pirateofficial 🎉
We’re excited to share that we’ve been selected for the @studiosforall fund, powered by Foot Locker in partnership with PIRATE.COM.
This incredible initiative means our Studio alumni will now have access to free studio space - supporting them to keep creating, developing and growing their music.
The fund will unlock 10,000 hours of free studio time for grassroots organisations and young people facing barriers to music opportunities across the UK.
We’re proud to be part of a nationwide movement supporting the next generation of artists.

Thank you, Foot Locker and Pirate Studios!🙌🎶
Great Insights Session last night from Joe Skinner, Senior Manager at @concordofficial 🔥
Joe talked about Sync (music for film, TV, ads and video games), including the nitty gritty on deals and licensing.
There was also an interactive session where participants had a go at selecting music for film and ad briefs, getting the chance to edit their selections to video and test them out!
Super interesting and insightful session! Thanks Joe!🙌🎶
Monday Mood: GRATEFUL!🙌🙏
Our amazing musicians, Cleo and Dwayne received this card from the participants on our recent project at HMP High Down and it’s such a great reminder of why we do the work we do at Finding Rhythms.
We truly believe that music is a catalyst to empower people to improve their lives - and the comments written inside this card were testament to that.
The men praised the musicians and the programme for helping the to step out of their comfort zones, saying how much the programme meant to them. The feedback we’ve received in our post-programme evaluation only amplifies these comments.
A huge thanks to the brilliant @cleosavva and @wonky_logic for all your hard work on this project. We are so grateful for you!🎶
🎉Funder Focus: @landsecgroup (Landsec Futures)🎉

Finding Rhythms x HMP Woodhill 🔥🙌
Project 3 of 3 is well underway at HMP Woodhill. Catherine, Aron and Thabo spent the day there yesterday to deliver session 5 out of 6 of this particular programme.
The first album is out now on @bandcamp . Just search "Bad Decisions" to find it and support the hard work of our participants!
We managed to convince Inga (Art Psychotherapist) to snap a quick photo before they left - swipe to see their best efforts!
(Luckily our team is far better at producing music and delivering our programmes than they are at taking selfies!)
Huge thanks to @aronkyne and @thaboandmusic for all their incredible work on this project.👏
Ever wondered what goes into making our studio sessions possible? Yep, us too!👀
Thanks to @tominthechamber - now we know:
• Lights
• Coffee (FR mug included)
• Laptop set-up
• Tune bass
• Tune guitar
• Test mic
…Start work on some cool beats!🔥🎶
