This week has been a bit of a surprise for me, to say the least. I first had the privilege of working for now Vice President Kamala Harris back in 2015 when she ran for US Senate, and again when she ran for President in 2019, and both times were an absolute honor. I've also been fortunate enough to work for President Biden's campaign for the last year. Both hold a big place in my heart.
Three weeks ago I took leave from Rope Line to join the campaign full time as the Vice President's photographer, and on Sunday, that job took on new meaning.
I'll do my best to share the next couple of months of my life here, when I can, but you might get a better look at my work following
@kamalaharris (and voting!)
Big thanks to
@ropeline_media for helping me on this journey these last few years, and
@shelbylcole for being one of the best bosses and advocates I've ever had. And
@arunchaud who got me into this wild line of work over a decade ago. Also big thanks to
@rollinsmedia_ and
@dccl who are in the trenches with me and have been doing the President's good work the last few months! And most importantly my wife
@instaflunkie who has taken on most of the childcare while still being a badass Public Defender saving people's lives. It's a lot to juggle and she's absolutely exceptional.
The energy I've seen the last week on the campaign has been incredibly inspiring, and I CANNOT WAIT for November 5th. We got this.
Sincerely,
Eric Elofson
PS: Do I have to sign off with Sincerely still? It's been a while since I used instagram...
