If you haven’t voted yet you are a reluctant voter. I get, despite my job that’s me too.
So maybe you are the kind of person for whom an outside voice like mine is helpful?
I consider Prime Minister Kurti a good friend and I’m anything but a disinterested party.
But my message is this:
You don’t have to love Vetevendosje to vote for them this election.
You don’t have to love the rallies and the chants and the blah blah.
You just have to want things to keep getting better, you have to want progress.
Is my healthcare a little better?
Can I get where I’m going a little easier?
Will my kids get a decent job with the education they are given?
By any measure, Kosova is rising on the metrics that matter. And if that matters to you I think you should consider getting out there and voting 116.
You don’t have to love politics, you don’t have to love the process, you don’t have to wear the shirt.
You have to want the things you deserve.

There is no shortage of reasons to vote for Zohran Mamdani in the NYC primary today, but if I still lived in New York I would vote Zohran to reject the cynical weaponization of anti-Semitism we see harnessed against the forces of progress again and again.
Groups like the ADL (but not exclusively) who employ anti-Semitic accusations exclusively in the service of reactionary right causes while exonerating actual Nazi symbols displayed by the rich, and platforming traditional enemies of the Jewish people, makes us less safe.
A win by Zohran tonight will mean a better, more accessible, more opportunity filled New York City for everyone.
A rejection of the horseshit weaponization of the scourge of anti-Semitism by my fellow Jews in the New York diaspora will mean a safer world for everyone.

In the last few years I have worked in a metric crap ton of elections and I can tell you that there are some things that are working. I will talk about them exhaustively next Saturday at Georgetown University for five straight hours — would have written you a shorter lecture but I didn’t have the time.
My former boss @BarackObama used to often quote the Chicago credo "politics ain't bean bag". It's a rough game.

Sorry to have not been in touch, there have been a lot of elections this year and to be honest I have been off social media mostly because I find you all tedious, you understand but will be heading to the US with a basket full of good ideas from international elections over the last coupla years for you to steal from.
You like the weird bit? Wait till you see the stuff people have done with Javier Milei the bitcoin crypto libertarian president of Argentina, Girgia Meloni the neo-Fascist prime minister of Italy and Hebert Kikl the Austrian front runner and -- old school regular fascist.
You like the Freedom bit? See it work to garner the largest turnout in Poland since the "Solidarity Election" decades ago.
You like joyful campaigning? Nobody had a better time than the Popular Front in France. And no politician campaigned with more pure enthusiasm than Claudia Scheinbaum in Mexico!
I'll be at the DNC and then in Wisconsin and Michigan the 23/24 and 25/26 respectively talking all about it.
