I wanted to say thank you to all the @disney and @starwars fans that came out yesterday to celebrate May the 4th with me at the Disneyana Gallery inside @disneyland . The energy, excitement, and conversations throughout the day meant so much to me. One of my favorite parts about these signings is getting to meet people face-to-face. So many of you who collect my work have become genuine friends over the years, and I always love meeting new people and hearing your stories and feedback about how my artwork connects with you. As an artist, that means everything to me. Truly, thank you for your support. I also want to give a huge thank you to the Disney cast members. Some of you I’m connected with on social media, and I appreciate all of your hard work and dedication. I always love hearing stories from cast members sharing my process and talking with collectors inside the Disney galleries about my artwork. Hearing how much people connect with the work is incredibly humbling. I’m excited to announce that I’ll be back today, May 6, signing once again at the Disneyana Gallery during Star Wars Nite. Signing Times: ⭐ 11am–2pm ⭐ 6pm–9pm For May the 4th, I released a brand new painting titled: “The Moon of Final Judgment” The original painting is available through the Disneyana Gallery, along with a limited edition release of only 25 framed prints. Last year the editions sold out, and each of these 25 prints has been personally hand-embellished by me. I also had a second Star Wars painting released on May the 4th at @disneysprings in Orlando, Florida, titled: “Embers of Destiny” It’s always incredible seeing my artwork being shared on both coasts and connecting with Disney and Star Wars fans through these releases. Thank you again to everyone who came out, supported my work, took photos, shared stories, and celebrated art and Star Wars with me. NEW YORK TIMES ILLUSTRATOR! 🎨 @adamazur 🗽📰🥳 I’m thrilled to share my first collaboration with the @nytimes ! I was offered the opportunity to illustrate a sports story about how different @mlb teams are using an AI tool called Automated Ball-Strike (ABS) Challenge System, and how some teams use it more aggressively than others. ABS carefully analyzes and measures the location of a pitch to tiny degrees to see whether or not the pitch is a strike. The goal was to steer away from the common tropes of AI represented as a robot (ie. robot umpire), so I instead thought to show surveillance cameras scanning the location of the ball. An enormous thank you goes to AD @timothypoliver for the collaborative ideas and trust, and for @fillinglobal for being part of this project. I will be doing live customisation at the opening of the first @leicacamerausa flagship store in Chicago this Thursday evening on 30th April and the next day 🙌🏽 Showing you a glimpse of my designs and all the preparation work before the event to ensure the live activation goes smoothly Live customisation is all about efficiency and speed. I get about 15 minutes to paint each product. That’s why preparation is key ✅ 🔑 Pre-designing about 5–6 motifs for customers to choose from on site (this helps with faster decision-making and limits overly complicated designs) 🔑 Testing mediums on products (this ensures I know what works for each design and item. For this activation, the leather goods I’m painting on are all textured pebbled surfaces, so I’m using a paintbrush over a marker for better control and to avoid paint bleeding into the cracks) 🔑 I often draw the motifs over and over again before the event to familiarise myself with the designs — it’s like muscle memory.
