#VR #MR Workflow experiment No. 1. A few months ago I got my hands on a pretty much up to date VR headset and finally was able to try a few things that I had in my mind for a while.
Personally, I was never a fan of full VR and have been dodging that tech movement for quite some time. For a long time everything was just so clumsy and user unfriendly and the results visually looked shitty at the same time. To a certain degree these points are still valid, but with the new passthrough #mixedreality opportunities and pretty stable tracking, things are getting a bit more interesting. Also there are some really cool painting apps out there:)
Some notes on the process: The video does not show the rendering that happened in #blender3d on my laptop between sculpting and sketching up the image on the wall. Forgot to screengrab it. Even though tracking is pretty good, fixing the rendered image for sketching up on the wall wasn´t 100% stable and it slightly moved every now and then, causing the porportions to glitch out. I had to correct the placement of the draft image several times. Wearing the headset and respirator was annoying and I had to take quite a few breaks. Also trying not to get paint on the sensors was tricky. Painting detailed elements with the MR overlay through the headsets passthrough camera view is really stressful and I did some parts and touch-ups without it.
So yeah; generally this works. So far I still prefer painting the regular way. But what is regular anyway?

My new mural dissolves the site specific architecture in order to create an abstracted passageway, inviting the viewers to embark on a journey through a maze of fragmented letters and real fake chrome straight into heaven.

Thanks for the invitation, fantastic organization and documentation @hallenkunst & @teamredtower 🙏🏼🙌🏼

The three-body problem in physics demonstrates that predicting the long-term motion of three gravitational bodies is impossible to solve analytically due to chaotic, highly sensitive dependence on initial conditions. While two bodies (like Earth-Sun) have stable orbits, a third body introduces complex, unpredictable interactions that often result in one body being ejected from the system

We create because existence demands it, tracing the fragile line between meaning and void, revealing the often absurd beauty of being. We give form to emotions, challenge norms and spark reflection, but our relevance is questioned daily by ourselves and pretty much everyone else. Our impact lies in awakening awareness—forcing society to confront its reflection, its chaos, its longing for purpose amid the infinite silence of creation.
