We are thrilled to announce OPEN INVITATIONAL X LIVING MUSEUM BASEL ! Contemporary Art with Social Impact June 15-20, 2026 Franck-Areal, Basel, CH @omg_franck Following our launch at Art Miami Basel 2024 and our recent collaboration with Creativity Explored in San Francisco, this Basel edition marks an important next step for Open Invitational. It continues our effort to create a thoughtful platform for progressive art studios and artists with disabilities, while opening up new space for exchange, visibility, and connection. This edition is presented in collaboration with the Living Museum Society and we are grateful to Raquel Guenat (@call_me___ra )and Living Museum Society for joining as a close collaborator, for helping develop the format further, and for bringing it to Basel with dedication and joy. I am truly blessed by the community surrounding me, people I’ve met over the past 42.5 yrs, from my aunt/ fairy (whale) godmother, to my childhood neighbor who’s like a sister, her hubby my high school Britpop bro, a glamorous kindergarten classmate, and allll the friends and lovers I’ve known for over 20 years and those I met more recently, who magically all know each other in different ways. life lesson from little Davey - stay in touch with everyone you love all the time from your whole life, it makes yr 40s really awesome. On this first single Valentine’s Day in 5+ yrs my heart is bursting with ENDLESS LOVE !!!! See u soon left coast I’ll be back ASAP !!!!!!!!!

If you are ever invited on a whale kissing journey to the lagoons of Baja DEFINITELY SAY YES. Thank you to my inspiring, kind, fun-loving, knowledgeable and generous auntie @jeanrhuber for the emotional adventure of a lifetime. It’s the sweet sublime, with 40 ft long 80,000 pound cuties coming in for closeups, pushing around the boat, showing off, and living their best lives. Access to the whales and the entire nature preserve is tightly controlled by the local indigenous population, providing for economic empowerment to the humans and preservation for the species and their habitat. The human footprint is minimal, the whales are in charge. Please ask me if you want more info, this will NOT be my only visit to the friendly grays. Also, since the Baja lagoons are where the whales spend 1/4 of their lives and the only time they are mostly bound by land, GRAY WHALES ARE PROUDLY MEXICAN !!! Fuck Trump, Fuck ICE, VIVA LAS BALLENAS ! 🐋🐋🐋🐋🐋🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽❤️❤️❤️❤️

Feeling blessed to be part of a family in which everyone likes each other enough to enjoy thoroughly a week vacation together.
