Abiding, here on earth, is to be held in what comes and comes back around: hours, revolutions, weeks, coffees, tides, seconds, springs, rooster, peeing, gas station, rent, full moon, arousal, fall, taxes, nail-cuttings, grass-trimmings, berry-pickings, vacuuming, cooking dinner. Our passage through time, or its passage through us is… all of it to the degree that it's also maybe nothing at all, which is why visualizations and manifestations of the experience of being in time captivate us.
In this exhibition, we wander about a plane on which a few delineations are placed: Love, Time, Devotion, Repetition, Boredom, Erotics. We ruminate (like the cows and the deer) on the ways these are entwined.
Does Love suffuse Time?
The works in this exhibition perk our senses towards some ways that slippery Time and Love might be located and perused for a moment. As our breath passes and repasses our humming lips, we count tenderly on. One, two, buckle my shoe, three, four, shut the door, five, six…
