We’re excited to share that Fieldwork was honored with a 2026 Residential Design Architecture Award (RDAA) from Residential Design Magazine, with the Willamette Pool House receiving a Citation Award! A big thank you to the jurors, @resdesignmag , and our incredible clients, collaborators, and Fieldwork team for making this possible. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Willamette Pool House is perched on a bluff, offering sweeping views up and down the river. It supports a new pool and spa, along with a lounge, kitchenette, changing room, steam shower, and bathroom. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors extend the interior seamlessly to a covered patio with an outdoor dining area and kitchen. A ceiling of locally sourced Oregon white oak continues to an exterior metal slat sunscreen. Skylights flood the steam shower’s tiled walls and custom concrete sink with natural light, enhancing the space with warmth and brightness. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Project // Willamette Pool House Location // Newberg, Oregon Architecture + Interiors // @fieldworkdesign Collaborators // Thomas Clarke Construction, Dana Klein Photography, @grummelengineering , @girvinassociates Products // @skyframe_global , @fleetwood_windows_doors , @annsacks , @miele , @watermarkbrooklyn , @cement_elegance , @schoolhouse

Fieldwork is excited to share that two of our projects, Alpenglow Community Park (shown here) and the Willamette Pool House, have been named @archdaily 2026 Building of the Year Nominees! Being recognized by the ArchDaily community is a significant milestone as this honor places our work within the global architectural dialogue. To support our projects and vote, visit the links in our bio. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At Alpenglow Community Park, Fieldwork designed three structures: an event pavilion, picnic shelter, and pedestrian bridge. A material palette of weathering steel, concrete, and locally sourced Ponderosa pine anchors the architecture in Bend’s high desert landscape. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Project // Alpenglow Community Park @bendparks Location // Bend, Oregon @bend0regon Architecture // @fieldworkdesign Collaborators // @esassoc @walkerstructural @griffinconstructionllc @chrismurrayproductions

We’re continuing our sneak peek of the Lightwell House. Filled with natural light from all directions, including from above in the stair hall, the “lightwell,” the home features locally sourced Douglas fir floors and cabinetry, natural stone, and full-height openings that connect seamlessly to the outdoors. The result is a home that feels warm, graceful, and in tune with its surroundings. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Photography // @absence_studio Collaborators // @bothwell_landscape_studio , @kpff_pdx , @wak.tok , @eduardvalik

We’re thrilled to share a sneak peek of the Lightwell House. While the project isn’t yet complete, Fieldwork is designing much of the furniture now being fabricated, we captured a few special moments with the help of Absence Studio. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Set on an east-facing slope in Lake Oswego, Oregon, the residence overlooks the city, the Willamette Valley, and distant views of Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens. Framed views, natural materials, a green roof, and expansive openings connect inside and out, creating a grounded and harmonious environment. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Photography // @absence_studio Collaborators // @bothwell_landscape_studio , @kpff_pdx , @wak.tok , @eduardvalik

At the Deux Vert Vineyard residence and gardens, a GRAY Awards Finalist for Landscape Design, native oaks stand as both sculpture and reflection, while the architecture, vineyard, and land intertwine. Set into the hillside, gardens of pure geometry emerge, drawing a line between designed space and the surrounding landscape. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Project // Deux Vert Vineyard + Residence Location // Yamhill, Oregon Architecture + Interiors // @fieldworkdesign Landscape Architecture // @groundworkshop Collaborators // @cellarridgeconstruction , @kpff_pdx Photography // @benlucke , @rgetsinger ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #fieldworkdesignarchitecture #modernarchitecture #hospitalitydesign #pnwdesign #portlandarchitecture #architecturaldesign #oregonarchitect #designInspiration #winery #winecountry

Set within a native Oregon white oak grove, the Deux Vert Vineyard residence and gardens open to views of the surrounding vineyard and the hills of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. A restrained palette of concrete, native stone, and metal grounds the architecture, while courtyards and terraces extend the home into the landscape. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Project // Deux Vert Vineyard + Residence Location // Yamhill, Oregon Architecture + Interiors // @fieldworkdesign Landscape Architecture // @groundworkshop Collaborators // @cellarridgeconstruction , @kpff_pdx Photography // @benlucke , @rgetsinger

Deux Vert Vineyard is a 29-acre boutique vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, producing grapes for outstanding winemakers. Fieldwork designed a new residence and, in collaboration with @groundworkshop , extensive gardens atop a hill surrounded by the vineyard and nestled within a native Oregon white oak grove, where the trees serve as both anchors and sculpture. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Project // Deux Vert Vineyard + Residence Location // Yamhill, Oregon Architecture + Interiors // @fieldworkdesign Landscape Architecture // @groundworkshop Collaborators // @cellarridgeconstruction , @kpff_pdx Photography // @benlucke , @rgetsinger

As summer begins to unfold, we’re revisiting one of our favorite parks projects: the pedestrian bridges along the Lower Macleay, Wildwood, and Maple Trails in Portland's Forest Park (shown here are the Wildwood and Maple Trail Bridges). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Inspired by the verticality of park’s Douglas Fir groves, the bridges feature vertical slats that emphasize views up and downstream and into the surrounding forest. Railings angle away from the path, inviting children and other users to pause, lean against the cedar handrail, and watch the flowing waters below. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These bridges were featured in ARCHITECT Magazine @architectmag and Residential Design Magazine @resdesignmag , and received a National Small Project Award from @aianational and an Honor Award for Small Projects from @aiaoregon . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Project // Forest Park Bridges Location // Portland, Oregon Architecture // @fieldworkdesign Collaborators // @portlandparks , @esassoc , @grummelengineering , Twin Oaks Construction, Dana Klein Photography

The Forest Park Bridges are composed of 4-foot modular components that were hand-carried to the three sites, minimizing disturbance and avoiding tree removal in this sensitive forested environment. Fieldwork specified weathering steel for the structural elements, chosen for its durability and natural patina that blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Project // Forest Park Bridges Location // Portland, Oregon Architecture // @fieldworkdesign Collaborators // @portlandparks , @esassoc , @grummelengineering , Twin Oaks Construction, Dana Klein Photography

In celebration of the great outdoors and the unofficial start of summer, we’re highlighting a project from our growing portfolio of parks work: our three Forest Park Bridges. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Located in Portland’s Forest Park, one of the largest forested urban parks in the U.S., these bridges earned both national and local recognition: an AIA National Small Project Award from @aianational and an Honor Award for Small Projects from @aiaoregon at the AIA Portland Design Awards. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The project involved designing durable, scalable, and safe replacement bridges for the well-loved Lower Macleay Trail, Wildwood Trail, and Maple Trail. Pictured here is the Lower Macleay Bridge. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Project // Forest Park Bridges Location // Portland, Oregon Architecture // @fieldworkdesign Collaborators // @portlandparks , @esassoc , @grummelengineering , Twin Oaks Construction, Dana Klein Photography
