Cuando llegué a México tenía poquísimo español (ahora un poco más jaja), pero aun así logré hacer amigos gracias al amor por la música. @mood_hsm y yo nos conocimos justo así, y aunque en ese momento casi no podíamos decirnos mucho, los dos sabíamos que estábamos en la misma vibra. Este viernes tocamos un gran b2b - @fieldtrips_ en @departamento_studiobar - Vamos a tomar el control del studio bar toda la noche. Esperen muchos vinilos: viejos, nuevos, raros, clásicos… de todo un poco dentro del house, disco, electro y más... ------- When I arrived in Mexico I spoke almost no spanish (a little bit more now 🫠) but managed to make friends initially through the shared love of music. @mood_hsm and I met through this exact process. Although neither of us could say much to each other at the time, we both knew we were on the same wavelength. 6 years later, this Friday we play b2b at @fieldtrips_ at @departamento_studiobar - We take control of the studio bar all night long. Expect lots of records, old, new, rare, classics - across the entire spectrum of house, disco, electro and more...

This month @nickcobby  is joined by NYC duo Chilly & Gams @chilly_gams for an extended guest mix. The pair offer a delightful dive into their record collections across 100 mins. The mix is a treasure trove of rare, obscure 90's and early 00's house cuts with a sprinkling of their other musical influences. The friends have been mixing and digging in NYC for the past 10 years. They host the rambunctious 'Dialed In' party and have recently played shows across Mexico, Europe and Asia. Thank you guys for an amazing mix! Enjoy the trip... This month's @netilradio show is a chuggy, funky, balearic beaut courtesy of a stunning hour guest mix from Bristol and London based @colours__uk Tom and I crossed paths recently while he was travelling in Mexico and he came to record a mix for the show under the magical mountains of Tepoztlán. Colours is a not-for-profit throwing parties across Bristol and London since 2015 with a focus on deep minimal breaks and everything in between. We’ve been thinking about the things we are missing this month on Field Trips. It's been a while since Liam and I played together in person, and playing in a club or bar seems like a lifetime ago. So in that spirit, we are airing for the first time a live recording we made a while back in Ray's Bar in Dalston, where we hosted a series of vinyl-only Japanese music nights called Ryokō (‘trip’). - Ryokō was a direct homage to the intimate record listening bars in Tokyo, where we spent many early hours of the morning nursing a nihonshu while the bar owner plucked tune after tune from their wall of records.  - We had bespoke sake cocktails such as the 'Yellow Magic Orchestra' and our very own stand for displaying the current record sleeve. This combined with the dark neon ambience of Ray’s and the warmest of audiophile sound systems made for as authentic an experience as we could create this side of the globe. - So enjoy this upbeat 2 hours of Japanese jazz, boogie, funk and city pop and let’s here's to enjoying music in our favourite ways again soon. This month @fieldtrips presents a very special guest mix from @__rootian__ - Born in Córdoba, Spain and currently living in Mexico City, Rootian has an amazingly diverse taste in music showcased through his radio shows in Mexico and Spain respectively. He brings his reputation for intense and uptempo club sets but showcases his more eclectic angle here as he joins Nick Cobby in the Field Trips studio in Condesa for a late night session.
