Thanks for supporting my releases in 2025, I appreciate it. - New Horizons EP (+ Horizons Renewed EP) - Pretty Lights / Euphoria Reimagined Special shout to all my collaborators and remixers, what an honour getting my music interpreted by such talented individuals. Other than that it has been a year of more reflection and eye opening, and lots of physical movement. I was also privileged + lucky enough to visit some amazing places to play music. And started working at the incredible @tuttiarts here in Brighton - I bloody love that place. Next year will see one new wax release from me in March (a collection of remixes that had never made it out on wax - the cover pic (slide 1) is taken on one of my favourite walks), after which I’ll hit the road again, which I very much look forward to, as always. Release wise, I’ll then disappear for a good while to work on a few different projects. @mellowmagicworldwide at the @brightonseacliffyachtclub will hopefully return in autumn, too. Keep you posted. A little something something dropped this morning: For the final instalment of the ‘Reimagined’ series on my label Be Strong Be Free, I invited two gifted artists from Adelaide to rejig two previously released songs. First up, local jazz force @gracevandals dove into the studio with @jakeamymusic , @dylanpaulbass and @milesfarnan to bring a thrilling liquid / jazzy drum & bass take on ‘Pretty Lights’. On the proverbial flipside, beatmaker and vocalist @southpaw_au flips ‘Euphoria’ into classic triphop territory. Chopping up the original’s spoken word intro, she adds her own sultry vocal into the mix, turning the track into a captivating duet with the one and only Mr. Robert Owens himself. Arwork by Leo Jong. This Saturday we’re taking over the industrial loft space at @her_melbourne for an all nighter with a very special guest - Belgium born Producer @gratts.dj 🇧🇪 His passion for collecting records started in the nineties while living and working in Berlin, he now calls coastal South Australia home, where he spilts his time touring, producing music, running his label Be Strong Be Free and hosting the semiannual Mellow Magic Sunday parties. A seasoned DJ, he delivers an always-expanding, deep-dug repertoire of timeless tracks, where his vinyl sets move with powerful determination, maintaining an underlying groove that is testament to his Belgian roots. After releasing records under different projects and alter egos throughout the years (Ca$hminus, Icarus Traxx, etc), he unleashed his Gratts debut three years ago and hasn’t slowed down since: so far seven singles / EPs have seen the light of day, with just as many in the pipeline. With each release, he aims to create a moment. It’s safe to say his records haven’t gone unnoticed, garnering heavy global radio and DJ support from some of the best in the game such as François K, Laurent Garnier, Groove Armada, and Collen Cosmo Murphy. Last year, singles ‘Sun Circles’ (a song he penned for his sons Leo & Ziggy’) and ‘Pretty Lights’ were both coined “track of the summer”, while recently he launch the first instalment of a new 7 inch trilogy: the single ‘Submerge Me’.
