ST PETE BREATHES 002 The idea behind starting the “Breathes” series was to focus on cities and towns, highlighting the culture that makes each place special. It’s always about the people — their upbringing, hobbies, interests, goals, ambitions, and the places where they come together. These elements form a unique culture and give every place its reason for being worth living in. For this short episode, I was lucky to have @__coachcaleb__ be so down and patient throughout the process. From the early mornings and the strange camera rigs to the light setups in small spaces — we made it work. In between shots, I got to know one of the most driven and down-to-earth people this town has ever seen. The saying “he’s going places” is an understatement. I’m just happy to have been part of the journey.

Today feels like a great day to finally post this project. It has officially made its rounds, and I’m happy to share it here. DOGFIGHT: In this film, we follow Jacob Raine as he fights to earn his place in The American the most prestigious event in professional bareback rodeo. Massive thanks to @prca_prorodeo for granting us access to film across all the rodeo arenas. It was an honor to document a culture so deeply rooted in passion, grit, and resilience. There’s something powerful in the rodeo spirit the grit, the pursuit, the passion. I had an amazing time filming with @_marcithephotographer in the span of 4 separate days, not including when we started talking about making this video a few months back. It’s not a given for someone to open up and trust someone’s else’s concept, specially with the task of telling her story, and I’m thankful for the trust she’s given me. Tampa Bay is alive. It’s full of culture, and it’s something I hope to highlight under the “Tampa Breathes” series from here onwards.
