Deep in the forest between Ucluelet and Tofino there lies a crashed WW2 bomber. It had 12 crew and 880 pounds of explosives on board, amazingly they all lived to tell the tale. We were forced to visit at dusk so most of these were shot blind in the dark, look carefully and you’ll maybe see Bigfoot.
Hello Everyone! I’m very excited to announce that the Olderfleet International Film Festival is back for 2025, and that film submissions are open NOW!
We will once again be hosting the festival in the lovely East Antrim Boat Club, on the 18th of October 2025, and we’d love to see you there!
This year’s poster was created in Blender and Photoshop by the very talented, and Belfast born @conor_kehelly_art . Be sure to check out their work, and give em a follow!
Like last year we will continue to use the festival proceeded to support our chosen charities, The RNLI and World Central Kitchen, a fantastic charity providing Food for the people of Gaza.
Films can be submitted via our FilmFreeway page (link in bio)
Tickets will be released closer to the event.
Myself and the rest of the judging panel are really looking forward to seeing all your films! Tell all your friends!
See you in Larne!
Here are some Behind The Scenes look at our latest film 'Lunch Break' made for the annual @puppetplace 48 hour puppet film challenge!
We had an action-packed weekend of gorilla filmmaking, pape mâché-ing, hillwalking, improvising, woodworking, drone flying, Greggs eating, daylight chasing and video editing!
We're both very happy with how the film turned out and can't wait to meet the other participants and see the winning film selection this weekend!

See you next year?
Hello everyone!
I’m super excited to announce that on the 24th of August I’ll be hosting a charity film festival in my hometown of Larne, in the East Antrim Boat Club!
I’ve been actively organizing this for the last few months but originally had the idea about 3 years ago whilst talking to my dad. We liked the idea of hosting a film fest in Larne for the community (and anyone else who wanted to come of course) in aid of the Lifeboats.
Following his death, I sort of forgot about the idea and set it aside as “something I’d maybe pursue in the future when I felt more confident”. That changed towards the start of this year. Like many of you I’ve spent the last almost 8 months helplessly watching the relentless genocide happening in Gaza and wanted to help in any way I could. A few months ago, this catalysed that idea I had set aside and I decided I’d go for it.
So here we are, The Olderfleet International Film Festival, named after the historic castle located just outside the venue. All profits will be split 50/50 between the RNLI as originally planned, and World Central kitchen, a fantastic charity providing food relief in the Gaza strip, which is immensely important now more than ever as the region experiences famine on top of everything else.
We would love to see you and your films at the festival! We will be showing a selection of short films between 1-15 minutes in length, and a selection of “short shorts” between one and 60 seconds, full details on the short shorts are on the FilmFreeway page under the “Awards and Prizes” section (I’d highly recommend checking it out if you have any short projects/tests/TikToks, Instagram videos etc)
If you want to buy a ticket or enter a film ALL LINKS ARE IN MY BIO.
Thank you so much and we can’t wait to see your films and faces!

Wave watching 🌊 I made this back in October, but didn’t think to share it on here. The music is @boniver ‘s song “Sh’Diah” slowed down a bit if you were curious.
BIG-BOT joins the cast
1 - BIG-BOT.
2 - concept art by Jim @jimtaroo_ .
3 - Painting the body which was modelled and 3d printed by the wonderful @uniquenormalcy .
4 - I ended up changing the head design and used a lens and viewfinder from a broken VHS camera.
5 - Family portrait.
6 - BIG-BOT ended up being too heavy for their wire joints, so they were often glued down in a squat to give them more stability, or when possible, rigged from below.
7 - A better look at the VHS camera lens.
