I was just messing around earlier tonight, trying to say something about communist infighting, and I remembered how this series all started.
It was to allow myself to spin out a bit, to become someone else, as if that could spare me the pain. To become someone from another time entirely, and putting on a mask consciously.
What she became is now an incorporated aspect of my personality - someone who’s informed, angry, articulate, and presumably entertaining. Again, Ms. Kathleen Hill, is entirely for me, for my literal processing. and I’m glad that her creation has helped me survive the last year and a half.
