Medication abortion is under attack 🚨 On Friday, a federal court ruled that mifepristone, one of two pills commonly used in medication abortion, can no longer be mailed or dispensed at pharmacies. This was the biggest blow to abortion access since Roe was overturned. Then, this morning, the Supreme Court issued an order to block the ruling for one week and temporarily restored access to mifepristone without an in-person clinic visit. Our bodily autonomy should not be litigated. While we are relieved by this temporary block, we know that attacks on abortion via telehealth is another step towards their ultimate goal: to instate a national abortion ban. NYAAF is here to help you navigate this confusing and fast-changing landscape. Right now, New Yorkers and anyone traveling here can still access medication abortion with mifepristone and misoprostol through telehealth as well as at in-person clinics. ✨ Yoga for Pelvic Health: a Fundraiser for Ab0rt!on Access Sunday, June 14 from 1:30pm-3:00 pm @heldspace.bk By Donation *All donations go to the New York Abortion Access Fund @nyaafund ✨ Care for your own pelvic health while supporting those facing barriers to abortion care. If you have chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, bladder or bowel challenges, this space is for you! This class offers an accessible approach through yoga, helping you build a healthier relationship with your pelvis. ✨ In this workshop, we will: * Map the anatomical landmarks of the pelvis * Explore the relationship between our nervous system and pelvic floor muscles * Use breath to bring more circulation to the pelvic region * Experiment with gentle stretches and slow movements to release tension in the pelvic floor and surrounding muscles ✨ These approaches help us build both body literacy and intimacy. You’ll leave with a deeper connection to your pelvis and a set of tools to cultivate pelvic health. While this space is designed for those with pelvic health challenges, anyone curious about the pelvic region is welcome. ✨ This workshop is open to all genders and is trans-affirming. Inclusive language will be used. All donations go towards financial access for folks seeking abortions.

Wade, NYAAF has seen an unprecedented increase in people who need support paying for their abortion. NYAAF is New York’s only abortion fund, servicing one of the most populous and diverse states in the country. As New York expands as an access state, we are seeing even more people traveling here for care. NYAAF volunteer case managers provide compassionate support to people facing barriers, misinformation, and stigma, and directly move funds to abortion providers on their behalf to ensure they can access the care they need and deserve.
