Let’s chat about 2026…
This is a big year for us at Keepsake House: our first full year as a non-profit! We’re now eligible to apply for grant funding, but we have to take the time to identify opportunities and apply for them. We also have to build up our board, update all our systems, and realign programming with our mission to serve the NYC artist community.
We can’t do that without your help. In order to build a strong and sustainable foundation for this house (pun intended), we will be focusing on internal operations and low-cost community programming this year, starting with the launch of an Artist Advisory Board! Apply to join the Board if you:
✅ Are a songwriter or storyteller familiar with the NYC community who wants to connect with other artists
✅ Want to speak into the future of this organization to help it best serve artists like you
✅ Have the skills and time to independently lead projects that would benefit the artist community at Keepsake House

Return to or discover our safe, supportive #OpenMics where songwriters and storytellers alike are encouraged to try out new material. With up to 10 minutes of performance time and an expectation to cheer each other on, you’ll gain both experience and community here. 🫶
Advance sign-ups are first come first serve, receive guaranteed time, and will open 1 week prior to each open mic. We always save some room for walk-ups too!

From writing intimate songs and stories to producing their own sold out shows, we have so much to learn from them. They’ll be partnering on Keepsake programming, measuring impact, and most importantly: keeping us informed of artist needs.

We’re excited to announce that we’re a 2026 Queens Arts Fund recipient!
This project-based grant will enable Keepsake House to bring the Queens Storytelling Festival back this summer!! 🙌👑

Announcing the first ever 📒 KEEPSAKE WRITING CLUB 📒 Come on in and join this monthly club for songwriters and storytellers to share works in progress in a safe, encouraging environment.
Respond to initial prompts related to your 🧸 inner child 🧸 then after the first month, YOUR work becomes the prompt! You’ll respond to others’ songs and stories to build off each other’s pieces: from story to song, and from song to story.
