Fegho John Umunubo Thanks Mr. President, Vice President, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Partners for the Opportunity to Serve…

Thank you 🙏.
Our visit to Samsung HQ in South Korea was truly inspiring.
We had the unique opportunity to tour the Samsung Innovation Museum (SIM), where we journeyed through the remarkable history and evolution of technology and innovation.
A highlight for me was sharing the groundbreaking achievement by Arese @smartmoneyarese , who produced the movie Lara Unlimited entirely using a Samsung mobile device. This powerful example underscores the transformative potential of mobile technology in filmmaking and opens the door to exciting collaborations between the creative industry and Samsung @samsung@samsung_nigeria .
I look forward to further developing initiatives that empower Nigerian creatives, in partnership with the Nigerian Film Corporation @realalinuhu and National Gallery of Art @nganigeria
Specials thanks to Chairman Yoon of the Asian Economic Development Committee for organizing this visit 🤝.
Here’s to bold ideas and limitless possibilities.
In line with Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and under the leadership of His Excellency, the Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima (GCON), the Office of the Special Assistant to the President (OVP) on Digital & Creative Economy executed the following interventions for the Creative Ecosystem with 100% funding from the Private Sector.
We created the N5 Billion Creative Fund in partnership with Providus Bank to support the Creative Ecosystem. N1.5 Billion was approved for four (4) Creatives: Titi Ogufere, Williams Uchemba, Obi Omelonye, and Richard Mofe-Damijo. While three of the creatives withdrew their funds to execute their Film projects, Richard Mofe-Damijo deferred his payment to 2025 for another project.
We disbursed over N550 million in Grant funding to the Creative Ecosystem. Sponsored the Movie Premiere of Tiwa Savage’s “Water & Garri,” “Smart Money Women 2.” Supported the marketing of AY’s movie “The Waiter,” Prince Daniel’s movie “Mai Martaba,” and Omoni Oboli’s movie “Wives on Strike 3.” We supported the comedy shows of Alibaba, AY, Kenny Blaq, MC Monica, Chuks D General, Seyi Law, Short Family, Mr. Paul, and The Last Prophet.
We conducted stakeholder engagements with over 3000 creatives across London, Chicago, Lagos, Jigawa State (Dutse & Hadejia), Enugu State, and Cross River State.
We trained individuals in Hairstyling, Fashion & Leather Making, Financial Literacy, and Content Creation.
We launched the Grassroots Creative Business Boost to support creatives with small businesses. Every week, we provided N500,000 to two (2) small businesses. We supported Marie Performing Arts Academy with grant funding to expand their academy’s facility.
We sponsored the biggest show in Abuja, The AWG Festival by Odumodu Blvck, supported creatives at Entertainment Week Lagos with grants. We also supported the National Design & Innovation Competition, Miss Diaspora Nigeria USA 2024, AfroHair Culture & Beauty Festival, Made in the North Festival, Calabar Fashion Weekend, The Creative Class, and the SPAID Hairstylist training.
We look forward to creating more magic with the Creative Ecosystem in 2025!
I had a productive engagement with Assan Faal, Adviser to the President of The Gambia on Investment Promotion and Special Envoy to the Government.
Our discussion focused on how I can leverage my experience to support and amplify the growth of The Gambia’s creative and cultural sectors—an area with immense untapped potential for economic development, youth empowerment, and global cultural influence.
This marks the beginning of an exciting journey—one I am fully committed to. My mission remains clear: to drive the advancement of Africa’s creative and cultural sectors, one country at a time.

The film beautifully explores love, jealousy, greed, and revenge, and the cinematography was absolutely top-notch. Every scene was intentional, every performance compelling.
I celebrate the entire cast and crew for giving us such an incredible experience — the energy in the room said it all.
The movie is still showing in cinemas across the country. Please go see it — you’ll be glad you did!
