These 6 weeks in Bremen have been the kind of weeks where I’m so aware of how special this time is. Creativity is a fickle thing, it is dependent on a thousand ingredients that could fall in different ways and change the course of a new creation. Like a magic potion that you don’t have the ingredient list to. And to add to the list of unknowns…this was my first time creating for a company, the first time making a 30 min piece…the first time making a group piece. And somehow I think it was exactly this fragility of not knowing, trying a thousand things and only keeping a few….that brought the work to where it is now, together with the openness, generosity, artistry, care and calmness of each person involved.
