The dancers of NDT 2 are back from their tour in Italy, and rehearsals for their upcoming programme resume today!⁣ ⁣ ‘I dreamt, it was’ is a feast for the senses. NDT alumni and new associate choreographers Imre van Opstal and Marne van Opstal are back with a raw and emotional new creation, exploring how spaces impact us. We are also joined by brilliant makers Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar and their hypnotising, vulnerable, and groovy ‘SAABA’ (2021), reworked in a bold, new version for NDT 2. ⁣ ⁣ NDT 2 brings this programme to 12 theatres across the Netherlands from 26 March to 2 June. This Saturday, NDT 2 reaches the final stop of its European tour in Dresden. ⁣ ⁣ At the Dresdner Musikfestspiele, NDT 2 performs Marcos Morau’s ‘Folkå’ alongside ‘SAABA’ by Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar. From TikTok dance trends to rapidly changing online crazes, children are growing up in a world full of stimuli. But what effect does that actually have on them? During the final NDT Young Creatives workshop of this season, we take inspiration from 'Kill Your Darlings' by Imre van Opstal and Marne van Opstal: a raw and contemporary performance about the urge for more, faster, and stronger. We begin with inspiration and then get to work ourselves. Together, the children will create a short choreography, which they will present at the end.
