Letās go back to April where this story startsā¦
as you know, the Winter family love nothing more than being up on the moors walking our pups. We came across the most beautiful foal that loved our dad and dogs so much, so we named him after our dad! We ended up seeing him and his herd most days and there would always be a conversation of āhave you seen Keith today?ā
On the 24th September I was walking Bonnie and Nora, when I heard some motorbikes herding the horsesā¦I really struggle with this and the unknown of whatās going to happen to them. Walking on the moors after they had been taken seemed so quiet, and later on I found out the auction for the foals was on taking place on Thursday, and on the Wednesday night I decided Iād attend the auction myself.
Uncertain if we would find Keith, my Dad drove and came along with me, and when we got there it broke my heart, as an animal lover it was horrendous.
Although some foals will be going to loving homes, the future is unknown and uncertain for others and that haunts me. Even with hundreds of foals there, we spotted Keith coming off the trailer! He looked so frightened š We waited hours for lot 207, not realising my number was 206, we were mean to be together. Believe me when I say no man there was getting him apart from us!
His home is with us, heās family and no family gets left behind! Of course we felt Keith needed a friend, and loneliness as people know is crippling, so meet Kevin.
Keith and Kevin we love you, youāre safe nowš¤ Our very own beige beautyās š“ š“
