Behind “THE PLOT”, an original Open Sound Academy performance, commissioned to @studiogleba (an offshoot of @fayda.exe ) and curated by @aliosciabisceglia .
This conversation takes a behind-the-scenes look at the audiovisual performance presented on 28 December, during the closing day of the 2025 Open Sound Festival, at Castello del Malconsiglio in Miglionico, Basilicata.
Set in a room tied to Congiura dei Baroni, as it preserves a vivid depiction of the occurrence — a 15th-century turning point in Southern Italian history — the project draws directly from this historical context.
“THE PLOT” combines samples from the Lucanian marching band tradition with deep dubstep and bass-driven rhythms, while the visuals immerse the audience in a distorted past as seen through the eyes of a medieval peasant.

“The Plot” is an audiovisual performance commissioned by Open Sound Academy to Studio Gleba, that took place in Castello del Malconsiglio during the last edition of our festival.
The location is no coincidence, but rather the primary source of inspiration for this project.
Together with the curatorship of @aliosciabisceglia , @studiogleba (an offshoot of @fayda.exe ) built up this remarkable performance, which originates from ‘The Barons’ Conspiracy’ – a historical event that took place in Castello del Malconsiglio in the late Middle Ages, sparking a revolt that changed the fate of southern Italy.
The live performance gave us a glimpse into a hypothetical past, allowing us to experience an interpretation of the historical event through the eyes of a medieval peasant, where sounds from the local tradition blended together with dubstep sequences.

SHROOMS by Atra Bilis and Deriansky
This track came together during one of those intense summer moments.
One from inside the crew, another stepping into our circle, no expectations.
Time spent together, shared energy, soundsystem sessions and real connections.
It was never planned, but it naturally found its place in our annual Various Artists project, a space meant to celebrate everyone who crosses paths with our world.
No hype, no forcing, just honesty and movement
A special thanks to our brother Mattia Boler De Virgiliis and @michele_nannini for the movie

We know we’re kinda late since the new year already started, but we really wanna thank all the amazing souls who’ve been part of our journey so far.
The ride goes on, we’ve got plenty of stops ahead of us. This year we turn 5, and we’ll do our best to celebrate it the right way.
Music will save us. See you in the south coast

Hi Folks
We’re back again
Resilient Echoes continues as a vital space for expression, absorbing the impulses that shape our days and accompanying our ongoing transformation. It grows from an established relationship with matter, a living, malleable source, and from the desire to shape a concrete, tangible sound, one meant to be physically felt and fully experienced through the power of a sound system. This release brings together long-standing collaborators and fresh talents, crafting a sonic and visual identity that reflects the core of our collective and the strength of its roots. Our deepest thanks to all the artists and friends who helped bring this vision to life.
It comes to life with a special companion piece: a micro-SD card nestled inside a handcrafted Green Guatemala marble ashtray.
A small domestic totem, perfect for the times you allow yourself to slow down, breathe… and maybe enjoy one of those discreet, personal little pleasures.
