@holotone_label is proud to release Leiche's debut album, 'Annihilating Grace of Infinity': a journey through elegiac sub rustlings, empty vastness of distortion, a thick fog of spectral shimmings, and waves crashing against the ocean shores of a dark place.
Out today, Friday, November the 28th, at Holotone's Bandcamp page. Available from December the 20th at all the digital stores & streaming platforms.
In this work the electric bass guitar - the only instrument used across the tracks - is augmented, destroyed and reconstituted to explore the creative unbalance between harmony and distortion, song and soundscape, notes and noise. Drawing inspiration in equal part from the sound of brutal, grind and experimental metal, the sound design of sci-fi movies and anime, and virtuoso instrumental players, Leiche creates its own hybrid musical language.
There is a certain lightness and brightness emerging differently across the tracks on offer, but it is all anchored by an inexorable gravity towards a dark core, a centre of unabashed annihilation. This unresolved tension marches the listener through the experience.
