I’m super honoured to be speaking at the 3rd edition of this powerful convening.
The Young Women’s Leadership Conference hosted by the Citizenship and Leadership Training Center.
Alongside inspiring voices, I will be contributing my knowledge on the panel focused on Leadership, Governance and Public Affairs.
The theme; Leading With Purpose : From Personal Growth to Public Life, resonates deeply with me because I believe that leadership is not just about holding positions, it’s about purpose, growth and the courage to influence change where it matters most.

Super proud of my girl, Chief @osasuigbinedionogwuche for the incredible work she does through her foundation @tosfoundationng , in promoting leadership values in young women.
The graduation ceremony for cohort 1 of the HerCademy Leadership Institute was simply beautiful and I was inspired by the incredible women in the room, who are not just leading from the front but ensuring that no woman gets left behind.
Inclusion is often communicated in small but intentional details. From accessibility support to thoughtful event design, creating spaces where everyone can participate meaningfully should never be an afterthought.
We are still learning, improving, and growing in what true inclusion looks like, but every intentional step matters.
As you swipe through, we hope this sparks ideas and conversations on how more events can become more accessible, welcoming, and inclusive for all.
What is one accessibility plan you want event organisers to include in events?

Some people may call them “beneficiaries.”
But I’ve never seen them that way.
I see them as co-creators of Let’s Talk Humanity Initiative.
When this journey began in 2015, the Tudun Maliki project wasn’t something I built for them, it was something we built together, from scratch. From day one, these incredible men and women showed up, worked, believed, and shaped what Let’s Talk Humanity has become.
This project has always been about true inclusion
Not charity. Not pity. But shared ownership.
Today, many of them have become teachers, graduating top of their classes(from universities, colleges, polytechnis), returning to pour into the next generation of students with disabilities. Without me being physically present all the time, they’ve taken leadership, kept the Assistive Tech Labs running, evolving, and alive.
I don’t feel like a saviour, “helping” them.
I feel like someone who was given the privilege to co-create alongside extraordinary people.
People like Mr. Ibrahim who was the he guidance counsellor back in 2016, who may be blind, but sees the world with a depth and clarity that inspires me every time. Now a Vice Principal, and rightfully so. A very brilliant and articulate man.
Saifullah, who is meticulous and precise, reminding me that vision has nothing to do with physical sight.
Surreya who never gave up even after she failed JAMB three times prior to ICT training from our centre.
To every teacher, every sign language interpreter, every quiet force behind this work, thank you so much for being cocreators of this success story.
This story has never been mine alone.
Here’s to what we’ve built…
and to the next 10 years of creating, together.

I haven’t yet found the right words to describe what Friday meant to me.
It wasn’t just a documentary screening.
It was an unveiling for me
It felt like I was finally sharing my child with the world- a child I had kept kept hidden for over 10 years.
This event was a trip down memory lane for me.
I remembered the efforts, sweat and tears that had gone into this work.
This impact journey of 10 years that began in a the special school in Tudun Maliki, Kano state with the sole aim of creating access for students with disabilities has now directly impacted over 16,500 PWDs in Kano.
This event was not just about me, it was about my team that has worked tirelessly with me to make this passion a reality.
It was about my family that has stood by me through the journey and most of all, it was about the thousands of students, staff and alumni that have not just been beneficiaries but co-creators of the success story of Tudun Maliki Special Education School.
The event may be over
The applause is loud and our passion is still burning.
We have spent the first 10 years figuring out what works.
There is more to come in the next 10 years- growth, expansion and impact at scale
Till every Child with a disability can have access to world class education with assistive technology.
My gorgeous suit from @jamalfarisofficial loved it! And my confident look by @akinwumi_mua . #seenheardandincluded #10yearsofimpact #LTHI
Our documentary screening: Seen, Heard & Included: Education and Technology as a Bridge to Inclusion, captured more than a 10-year journey, it spotlighted what becomes possible when persons with disabilities are not sidelined, but supported, equipped, and empowered to thrive independently.
To our media partners like @arisenewsofficial , thank you for not just covering a story, but carrying a movement forward.
The work doesn’t end at the event, expect more to come!
