I believe it was 2004. Eliane Radigue was visiting Los Angeles & i attempted to have her as a guest on Glossolalia, my KXLU radio program at the time. It didnt quite fit in her schedule yet somehow did work out to visit my apartment. We had tea, conversed & listened with closed eyes to my recently acquired Arp Odyssey as it self-generated harmonic drones for what seemed like hours. Her music has always provided endless meditations & was extremely important for my understanding of the subtle yet complex shifting modulations of harmonic resonance hiding in analog synthesizers & the patience required to find them. "If a stone in the river moves, the river is not changed, but after a long time it becomes something completely different." To call her an inspiration is an understatement. Rest In Peace Eliane ❤️

Sunrise steward of aether @fancyfeces performing material from collaborations w @jimmytamborello under the Sana Shenai moniker - the ultimately recommended project of plunderfonik ambient concrète (see Warm Former 2022). #experimentalmusic #ambientmusic #synthesizer
Mitch’s ( @fancyfeces )performance at last year’s IEMF was in aural treat indeed! it was like attending a master class in electronic music.
His set invoked a trance-like, meditative state that permeated the room at @audiowildstudios .

R.I.P. French pioneer of modern composition JEAN CLAUDE ELOY (1938-2025). Apparently just passed yesterday at 87. If tense, dynamic, hallucinatory and contemplative electronic music is for you- seek out his SHANTI or GAKU NO MICHI albums, both released in 1979. Lights off volume up, in his honor.
JACK DEJOHNETTE 1942-2025. Rest in peace to the GOAT. A major personal inspiration, i never took formal drum lessons but did study a few dozen diverse, stunning records with DeJohnette behind the kit, dreaming. Further demystified it seeing him lead an ensemble live in '98 in Santa Ana. Flowed like a river that guy.
